Not sure if anyone really cares i just thought it was funny myself, Seen the news yesterday about them opening EQ2 for free now all content excluding the newest expansion. As i looked over the differences between their new so called subscription rates depending which sub you take now they limit spell ranks, max gold you can have # of chars and a whole lot more.

Funny thing me an my buddy was talkin about is just using 1 gold subscription an make 2 or 3 freebie accounts for buff / heal bots since they will be free lol.

Unless you're paying the $14.99 model on the free server, your account is so gimped it's not even worth playing.

In a nutshell, they're letting you play the tutorial to lvl 50. yippee.

They're also finally getting ready to release the Velious content. Lvl 86+, and y'all can't play that on the free accounts.

I might attempt to play but I never really like 2 that much. Plus I really don't ever reach the higher levels.

Pretty good break down here. (http://blog.weflyspitfires.com/2010/07/28/everquest-2-extended-a-deceptive-rip-off/) Not worth it.

Sony is REAL sneaky with the micro transactions lately.

EQ2 is prolly the only game that had me hooks longer than 6 months since I quit EQ.

I tried to play it again bout 6-8 months ago. Logged in my uber lvl 50 Warden (lol) with prismatic mace and that nerfed regen robe that took me forever to get. To my absolute horror, it was like playing a crappy version of WoW. It was a pretty awesome game at first but wow it was terrible. I had some fun helping a friend level in Crushbone for a few but we didn't last long. Hopefully they have learned their lesson and EQ Next doesn't go that route.

Brings an old saying to mind "Friends are friends and pals are pals but buddies sleep together" -Unknown

Friends help you move. Good friends help you move bodies.
