Game client crashes on random

My Game all a sudden Poof while I'm playing. I suddenly return to window with no everquest tab on the bottom. I log back on and i have to wait 1 minute for synchronization. This can be a bit frustrating while I'm fighting.
I have an amd tri-core with a nvdia 8800 gts video card and 6 gig of memory. Any ideas?
