Starting New Red Char

Im brand new to server looking for some people to lvl with.

I am thinking either SK Rogue Wizard? Not sure yet still trying to figure out what to play. If anyone interested PM here or im on blue chromos if you want to talk

go with wizard for your first character. there is enough sk's running around and starting a rogue from scratch is going to be hard mode.

is wizard a good choice for pvp? are there any other good classes to start off with

every class has the potential to be good at pvp. the wizard would be a good idea because you'll be effective even while naked and you can solo if needed. Pretty much all of the casters are a good starter class, but you should pick what you like to play.

druids can be a bit better at farming gear to use and sell for a main later than a wizard I would guess.

Id go Wizard over Druid since you get more dmg which is better for pvp. Also more useful to raids later with planar ports.

If you want a melee as first toon grab a pal and duo its really not too bad if you have a partner but solo it can get rough 20+ hehe.

oh and its a lot more complicated than i made it seem. wizard can step around against melees

druid dmgshield can be a nightmare to melee if youre heal skills are good.. plus youll never be without a good hp buff

lots of pluses and minuses.. i recommend play what you like.

too many people come on the server and never actually experience pvp. so level like its blue and experiment against players when you can. thats what reds about. youll learn a hell of a lot more about class mechanics here

I read somewhere that most rogues are twinks with the Ragebringer. If I rolled a rogue, would I still be able to find groups?

Thx for the advice magi, I definitely would love to play an SK but it seems quite difficult to find groups on here which seems forced towards playing a solo class to lvl most of the time.

With the group exp bonus you can level anything here pretty quickly, but honestly Red isn't a log in and grind for an hour and then log off kind of server if you're not playing a quad or solo caster.

You have to put in the time to meet people and socialize, and when you get that amazing group you need to milk the shit out of it. Replace people who have to leave and such to keep the exp rolling as long as you can.

Red99 has been the best gaming experience ever for me, but there is no way you could play a melee or hybrid here casually/solo unless you have tons of PLing available or don't mind waiting 2 years to be 52+.

Oh yeah or Fungi (Grouping still better than this option with the new bonus).
