Hey all you r99 ppl come check out blue server.

Disclaimer: this is not a rant or flame, this is one blue player's attempt at saving a few good players from selling their eq experience short by playing on a server with less potential. Please take all flames to the proper forum section, thank you in advance.


Why should you play blue instead of red?


We regularly have over 900 players during peak hours, unlike red99s peak population of about 200.


You wont have to deal with trolls, getting ganked by twinks in fungis, people rule lawyering their way around letting you recover your corpse or the endless stream of sewage that is known as global ooc.

There are no nonclassic exp bonuses meant to coddle WOW-era gamers, which foster a very childish gaming atmosphere.

There are very seldom any zones completely devoid of all players on blue 99 like there is so often on its red counterpart, so finding people to play and make friends with is very easy.

Furthermore red99 has no sense of community to speak of, which is really what made this pioneer of MmOrpgs known as everquest so special.

Also...

I won't even begin to compare raiding on blue vs raiding on red because every video I've seen of a red raid looks like utter chaos with people just hacking and slashing and training eachother at random all the while listening to some kid scream names of who to zerg down next . To me, that isn't fun or even what eq raiding was ever about.


Since the original developers of EQ have admitted PVP in eq was an afterthought to them, you know that blue99 is hands down a closer respresentation of classic EQ at it's pinnacle.


So join Blue99 today, don't sell yourself short in terms of experiencing classic everquest the way it was meant to be played.

Bored at work so ill bite, even though the red section of these forums are similar in nature to various world of warcraft forums.

Pretty funny red server still cant keep 100 ppl online around the clock even after exp bonus you all cried for was brought back.

I guess the real problem is the 100 or so players who actually played red since day one who have shit up the server and have (since day 1) driven everyone off with their retardation.

Because of weaklings like you who are such peons in real life and in EQ that you don't have the gusto to give it a fair shot. And that's fine - it's not for everyone. However, it would probably be amenable to a lot of people who don't realize it.

I leveled up my monk au naturale - no twinkage - until I was almost done leveling. It was brutal, but it was a worthwhile experience.

Why is the TMO-absorbed Tasselho crying about non-classic xp? Blue has had an absurd amount of xp bonuses, some lasting a week+. And on blue where nothing is a threat other then your own stupidity so you could PL several toons with minimal effort. Sometimes blue makes me sick. It's either poop socking on some weird spawn rotation shit going on, none of which happened on classic. I haven't tried it, but it appears as if red solves both those things - maybe it really is crazy good then?

pvp is how in-game conflicts should be solved. not by petitionquest as it is on blue. having 200 people sit on VS spawn hoping that someone in their guild tags the mob first is really fuckin stupid. there is no skill in that. instead it should be the most prepared and skilled guild that takes the kill as it is on red.

On bertoxx when a guild wanted something we sat on spawn and waited for it... didn't have to use the FTE rule much because most of the guilds respected the crew who was already there but mid way threw velious that's when guilds start fighting ... Prophecy vs Phantom Raiders is one of the best guild rivals ever

I started completely from scratch and it's been a blast!! Overall the community really is pretty damn cool. There are few assholes, but that's also true of blue. Right Tassle? :)

And it's taking a PR campaign to get people to try red because people like their ezmode style of play on blue. Plus they're scared...
