Last night I saw someone link this Worker Sledgemallet (http://wiki.project1999.com/Worker_Sledgemallet) and I was astonished at never having heard of it before. It made me realise that (through forums and EC tunnel) I am under-exposed to no-drop items, which never hit the market. Now I want to discover more!

I'm thinking more about questable or campable items than raid drops. If you can think of an interesting or useful no-drop item, please link it here. Even items that are just decent stats, if obtainable at appropriately low levels. If many items are posted I'll tally the links here.

Torch of Alna.
Broom of Trilon.
Stein of Ulisse (sp?)
Shovel of Ponz.

Mage focus items. Right clickable instant cast reclaim summon. Supposed to be used by mages but is amazing for shamans as they never get the spell so you are able to:
- recast shaman pet till max pet.
- can use your pet as a mobile mana battery.
- reclaim before zoning so you don't waste any mana

Don't be a Swish, Sam. It's a classic mechanic, just like all the other imbalances and quirks of oldschool EQ. We're just not oldschool players anymore.

Would be good if SoulFires were disabled when raid mobs were alive :P.

Couldn't help myself.

You don't need to ask this question really. The wiki is a glorious thing. Look through the "clickies" tab on the homepage for a good start. A lot of that isn't no drop, but the fact that you didn't know about a the OT hammer suggests you don't know about a lot of those either even though they're droppable :p

These are for sale in EC all the time.

Haha I almost posted that gif but couldn't be arsed.

Yes I've perused the clickies list. And yes I want half of them. But I'm not aware of an item proc list (will search shortly) and I'm not just looking for effects, but for decent items (especially mid-tier) that are a bit obscure.

The Sarnak Earring of Station (http://wiki.project1999.com/Sarnak_Earring_of_Station) for example, is quite a decent and achievable Earring for my broke 30s char, yet I've never seen it mentioned in a guide or item list.

Equipment -> Wearable by [Your Class] -> Open a new tab for each slot -> Sort each tab of items by the stats you're interested in.

That's how I find new gear I want. Doesn't help you find procs or clickies except coincidentally, but it's a good way to find the stats you want and then look for the best piece that is obtainable. There's not a resource on the wiki that I know of that does a GREAT job of tracking procs or clickies... these things usually seem to be kinda trade secret type things... some people will give you a tip here or there that they can remember off the top of their head about some item they like, but no one is going to cough up a comprehensive list or anything /shrug

Yeah I agree, this is probably the best way to find appropriate gear. But that mallet with an awesome teleport will never appear there for any class. Hence this thread. Still hoping that some other cool things might pop up.

People link their OT hammer in their auctions to provide you with a use of their puppet string in order to do the quest that gets you your own hammer.

Give money to guy -> get puppet strings -> charm an undead foreman -> tunr in your jade -> give strings back to guy

Grats on hammer.

Soulfire may have been a classic mechanic on live, but it was definitely frowned upon on live, at least by the Bristlebane GM's. We didn't play with petty tactics like that shit in ToT. We were too brutal to stoop to the level.

I used all of my paladin's Soulfire charges right before I upgraded to Avenger while I was in a group in sebilis, and they petitioned me saying my LoH was being exploited. That's how rare it was to see anyone using that shitty tactic.
