I was wondering if there has been a known instance where someone reserves a name on the server and buy/sells it or a large amount of platinum.

For instance if one were to have the name of "Cloud", how much do you guys think I could get for it?

Edit: I do not actually have the name "Cloud" for sale, in case anyone makes the mistake of making an actual offer.

Not sure if there's any real market for names, I've seen them auctioned before and I've seen a few purchased however, I'd say it treads awfully close to illicit activity.

No buying/selling of characters happens.

It was never ok and big fuck you for being part of the problem. Just because it was not against the official rules, it does not mean its ok to sell accounts. RMT scum.

I tried selling the name rights to "Fail" around early 2013 iirc. Didn't try very long, I was intent on using it unless I got an outrageous offer (which I didn't). A couple offers around 10k, one for 20k, but that was about it. People are hesitant (and rightly so) for spending large amounts of platinum for a potentially sketchy transaction like buying a name.
