That other TNG quiz was WAY TOO EASY, so I ramped up the difficulty to level 4 and made my own quiz.

Try this one on for size, nerds! Tell me how you did!

I only got half, I'm a bit disappointed but I didn't cheat.

I don't know how many of you have noticed my druid's name is "Stembolt".. so ST is important to me :p

You purchase those self sealing stembolts from the NoJay Consortium?

6/10. Weak. Looks like I'll be pulling an all weekend star trek marathon.

Somehow I don't think watching more episodes of TNG will help one remember star dates of episodes or number of episodes certain characters appear. The key to making good tough quizzes is to keep the questions reasonable. You could ask how many times Picard ordered tea in season 3, but really, who cares?

Some of my buddies have been giving me shit for that stardate question, too, and yes I agree stardates of episodes in-general IS a bullshit ask, but in this particular case (the final episode of the series), this stardate is said three times in-a-row in the intro scene, and then once again in the 2nd-to-last scene.

I don't know... the way Picard repeats the stardate in the intro really hammered it home in my memory, especially when they say it again with ~45 seconds to go in the series.

And yes, I'll admit the "number of Q episodes" question is pretty tough, but I maintain they were such special episodes that I feel like a truly hardcore TNG trivia nerd should be able to count them up in their head.

I agree with the star date question. It was the final episode, so that alone makes it more special. And as you said, Picard repeats it like 8 times. The Q episodes was actually one of the 6 I got right and I was very confident in my answer.

TNG stardates follow such a pattern that the question was really easy.

1. "All Good Things..." is well known to be the final episode of the series and season 7.
2. The second digit is the season number. Thus: 7.
3. The third digit of every season's final episode is always a 9.

that's a fetish level of obsession there...
