I've tried more than once to get into soccer. Just can't do it. Much like hockey, I think that they are probably the best athletes out there, I just can't get into the game.

Had a bet on 2 teams for the World Cup winner, never pick the favourite etc.

Uruguay (16/1) (potentially £81 returned)
USA (250/1) (potentially £1255 returned)

The 'Muricans might have the toughest group but if they make it through they'll be better for it, and as a Fulham fan I can't fault Clint Dempsey, he'll be sure to make a big impact :)

croatian GK was as slow as a snail.
That being said, that penalty that was given changed the way Croatia had to attack, so brazil's 3rd goal was, in a way, a consequence of that earlier bad call. Still, in all fairness, brazil played better around 65 minutes, so the win was deserved, though controversy will remain.
Swish, i don't believe either one of your bets will make it past quarters, lol.
The one thing i don't like about this world cup is that, even though is being played in south america, the schedules of the matches make it impossible for southamericans to watch all the games (i'm at work for 2 out of the 3 matches of the day) which quite frankly sucks balls.
