Doesn't have to be RnF. It's a valid question. Can you elaborate on what kind of progression you mean?

VP key progression? Members with epic progression? Sky gear progression? Level progression?

There's definitely not any site that lists a compendium of it all, but if someone wanted to gather the info on specific forms of progression I'm sure it wouldn't take too much effort to figure out. Might even be interesting.

As far as I know there is no such list: the closest thing I know of is the raid kill board, and I think that just tells you "who killed Inny yesterday?" not "who has been killing the most raid targets over the past few months?"

IB and TMO are the only Class C guilds.

BDA, TMO, IB, Taken, Divinity all regularly kill every raid mob outside of VP.

I think Europa, A-Team, Asgard, Azure Guard and Indignation have killed them all, teaming up to kill some of the harder ones like Gore, Tal and Trak?

All the above guilds regularly clear PoSky.

The truth is that Kunark is simply so trivial that anyone can grab 40 people, tell them to faceroll their keyboards, and kill dragons. I was at a BDA/AT/Indig trio zerg kill today; no one was really paying attention (we let Tola gate, fought Trak on top of a boulder so all of our rogues were fucked and I topped the dps charts cause of Haktek's Avatar) and we still killed him in 40s. Based on this, I would say TMO is the best guild on the server as they are actually killing stuff on beta. Everyone else is Tier2.

You can pretty much conglomerate all of the class R guilds into one amoebic mass of "people killing old shit that isn't challenging because that's what they want to do and they don't care about being number 1", and beyond that there's two guilds left to rank, TMO and IB.

The top guild is IB (take a look at the history of server firsts), then there are all the other guilds that kill stuff and play for fun, BDA, A-Team, Europa, etc. thats about it

Force classic UI, add in mechanic to "simulated LD" and mez a random number of players if players > 20-25. Randomly mezzing more players the bigger Zerg you have. For all those people who still had terrible Internet connections and would chain crash on raids. For the classic feel. Add in proper mob AE recasts, even if you burn his first AE, he should recast within 50 sec. Cap resists at 255. No more bard 450+ resist bullshit. Get rid of your voice chat programs and learn2type.

Then we will have some real classic raiding. I agree with Loraen, current raiding is a joke. But man if we had even half of what I suggest above, there would be way more wipes. Who doesn't remember 1-2 clerics LDing on engage and instantly wiping when the CH rotation doesn't come through. Or the MT.

There are no server firsts on Project 1999 unless you count googling 'classic everquest'. The real server firsts happened 15 years ago when people had to actually figure out mechanics.

I have brought this up before and if I remember correctly Nilbog likes the idea. I especially wanted to see it happen back when people were poopsocking 200+ on Trakanon's spawn.

I have a thread in the bug forums about why 255 should be the resist cap, but lets not kid ourselves: the whole resist system would have to be retuned. Currently mobs land far, far too many spells at a given resist level. So aside from turning Bards into raid gods I don't think the current system is too unbalanced.

This is a 34s fight with everyone using offensive discs so you get hugely inflated numbers. I didn't use Innerflame and Argh used Defensive not Fellstrike. Although considering how little damage Trakanon did . . . .

I see what you're saying Splorf and I agree that Kunark is trivial. But Trakanon isn't necessarily a good benchmark either. He's pretty much the easiest kunark dragon besides fay.

Grabbing 40 people to faceroll their keyboards wont work on Hosh, or Nexona. 70 people making one big mistake can wipe hard, and 30 people playing smart will have a clean kill. Like, two years ago TMO left Gorenaire up in dreadlands and the server had an open raid on him with 170 people and wiped at like 30%. I might even still have fraps of that. The kill felt epic when it happened though.

Yea probably. Maybe less even, with only essential classes. You don't always have the perfect raid comp though. 30 is a perfectly reasonable number with a typical raid that isn't all clerics/warriors/wizards. I bet Trakanon can be killed easily by 10 people. But why would that ever happen.

IB is first in server firsts. TMO has higher member count so can zerge shit easier. Guilds like BDA have huge raid force, but not sure on their ability to wake up at 4am on a server repop. Now every guild can muster enough raid force to down a 32k hp mob in 10 seconds.

So yeah, there really is no ranking because everything in game is easily killed and on farm for 4th alts.

Since always, I think. On this server at least, I don't know if it's classic how easy he is. He doesn't fear at all and wastes time casting terrible necro spells. Often is dead before second aoe. After first AoE is baited on one DA'd person.

Jugs and a more intense race make Trak the harder raid, but the mob itself is much easier than Tal/Sev. If all 3 mobs were alone, that is. We Engage Trakanon with fewer than we'd engage the other two you mentioned (10-15 people, when we FTE). And even still, he drops steadily the jugs feel like the biggest hurdle.
