Im not sure what the economy is like on blue, but at 36 a shaman should be able to deal with some of the guk camps easily. I camped ghoulbane, runed bone fork, fire pet summon potion, etc. down there in the 40s on my war and the ghoulbane camp can be tough to break for pure melee but I could manage it. Would just farm and sell at that level if serious about gearing a war. Otherwise, just go cheap get hp rings and a solid ratio weapon and then just gear as you go from there.

Also the sisters in ocean of tears drop those weaps that sell for 12pp apiece. 2 girls standing side by side, 8-12(?) min spawn or something like that, always drop weap. 24p every spawn cycle.

You can probably solo:

Hero Bracer (http://wiki.project1999.com/Hero_bracers)
Crafted Set (http://wiki.project1999.com/Crafted_Armor_Quests)
Dark Rust Boots (http://wiki.project1999.com/Ugrak_da_Raider)

If you group/duo in Mmistmoore a while you can probably pick up:

Crested Spaulders (http://wiki.project1999.com/Crested_Spaulders)
Diamondine Earrings (http://wiki.project1999.com/Diamondine_Earring)
Hooded Black Cloak (http://wiki.project1999.com/Hooded_Black_Cloak)

You'll probably want to buy your weapons. After level 20, Staff of Battle (http://wiki.project1999.com/Staff_of_Battle) is pretty awesome and cheap as hell. Before level 20 just grab some really fast weapons (Jade Maces are great if you can afford them).

what level does the damage cap ware off? 20?

there's two damage caps... staff of battle won't max out until level 30ish

you should look at the crafted armor quests. some of them will be easy for ya at 36.

lets say weighted axe for example

Yeah you ideally need someone to sell with (whether you run a low level alt out there or have someone that's not kos to the dwarf vendor).

Also from memory I think they turn light blue in the early-mid 30s?

lets say weighted axe for example

weighted axe would effectively be 14/150 until level 20, then 30/150 at level 20... i think that second cap lifts at level 30, at which point weighted axe would be its full 45/150.

So actually now that I write that out I realize -- Staff of Battle is essentially good to go at level 20, since its 31 damage is only 1 above the 20-30 cap.

What race did you go with? Looking back I wish my 59 barb warrior was a halfling instead. All that dex and the ability to do sneak pulls...

Slam and extra hp? Yeah totally worth sacrificing for a few points of dex.

Also sneak pulling doesn't work here.

Sneak + backwards mob + projectile doesn't work?

Works way better here than it should.

If mobs are 1-foot apart Sneak should not single them, regardless of the way they are facing.

It should function as a lull to all mobs, with a range included.

Some sneak pulling tricks work well on my halfling.

Hide/taunt pulling was what got nerfed for me. It was good being able to get single pulls by hitting hide then taunting a target through a wall/floor and having it come single. Turned out not classic though!

Thought sneak pulling didn't work because projectiles are instant here. Was researching it on my rogue. Guess I'll have to try it now ;)

Minotaur Ribcage (5str/5sta BP) in Beholder's Maze - virtually guaranteed to find the camp open (almost never anyone in the zone) and it drops off of a level 17ish mob. You would still need to watch out for the wandering eyes (some of them would be high enough level to pose a threat), but everything else in the area should be easy-mode at 36.

Camping gear directly is probably a waste of your time. I will say that shiny brass idols sell for 350 - 400p instantly and with the raid scene changes the demand has never been higher. Even higher than PoSky pet dps wtf mode. Braziers of elemental summoning will probably become less valuable as trackers can no longer FTE. Such a pity ;p

Or hitting hide mid-cast of a donals bracer, solo pulling named from literally anywhere in HS south. And then there was having VS faction apply to everything in HS...lols. Headhunting.

Also, sneak tagging is op

HP might finally start to matter if you're tanking certain deep end-game Velious mobs, but for the most part in Kunark as long as their Evasive/Defensive buttons are ready to be pressed a Halfling and an Ogre are going to tank things about the same... plus in a group setting the versatility of a Halfling warrior is super useful.

and yeah not having slam is a slight bummer at first, but eventually Kick starts stunning (level 53 i think?)

also i have not run the numbers myself to verify, but i heard that Halfling warriors with all points into DEX are the only warriors that can hit the 200 soft cap on all melee stats with just Velious gear (no buffs required)

forget skipping stones. get a 150 range bow and 150 range arrows.... second longest pulls in the game (after rangers with their 200 range Rain Callers, but do rangers even really count? =p)

55.

I have a guise on my 60 warrior (barb) and anecdotally speaking slam is still a buttload better than kick at interrupting. I've had to unguise to interrupt many times.

It would be a lot more efficient use of your time to farm cash in late 30s and 40s than to camp specific drops.

I quested my own lambent because I wanted to - but in the hours I spent camping the pieces I could have farmed enough cash to buy the whole set twice over, and thats not even counting the cash I had to pay out of pocket for the gems and lambent stones.

I had to laugh when someone approached me wanting to buy a few of my pieces but refused to consider an offer over 100p ... I kindly directed them to the wiki website for the quest to show them that the gems alone cost almost twice what they refused to offer more than ... Much less the time investment of hunting the drops and running around doing the quest.

On a server as old and gear bloated as p99, especially a lower levels you're better off farming cash drops from the wandering piggybanks like hill giants or areas that drop bronze or better weapons.
