Returning player

Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong forum. I've just decided today to redownload the titanium client and start playing on this server again.

I've already got the client downloaded and installed, but the problem I'm having now is with the "launch titanium" file. When I run this file I get an error "windows cannot find 'eqgame'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, then try again"


I'm hoping this is an easy fix as I'm not the most computer literate person in the world, anyone know what to do?

There is a quick and dirty workaround for this if you cannot find launch titanium.bat

Simply right click eqgame.exe - > send to desktop (create shortcut)

Go to the shortcut you just created, right click - > properties

You should see a 'target' line in the window that pops up. If the file path has spaces, the path itself will be encased in quotes. If the path does not have spaces, there will be no quotes. At the end of the target line, simply add patchme.

Examples:

With spaces in the file path:

"C:\program files\everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme

Without spaces in the file path:

C;\everquest\eqgame.exe patchme

Use this shortcut to run EQ and you will be good to go!

Thanks! That seemed to work, at least up to the login screen. I just typed in my acct info, or at least what I thought was my acct info, and now I just stuck at a "logging into server. Please wait....." screen. Does this mean I have entered the wrong info, or something else? It isn't saying wrong password or anything like that. Its just stuck logging in.

It would tell you if the account info was wrong. Seems to be something else. If you can't get it going, make a post in the technical forums. You'll get a much more intelligent response than I can give you.
