the named mobs in chardok that drop loot come after the dok revamp later in velious. if thats what you mean.

You can kill whatever you want in Chardok. If the AOE group doesn't like it you can tell them to choose a camp. They get their first pick.

If you wish to avoid such confrontation or likely trains, wait til they do a pull. Go down and kill whatever is left. State you are taking that camp and if they train you tell them to stop doing that... The puller is Non-KoS so he should be able to see where you are and avoid you.

Nothing worth killing down there until the revamp.

Is the half elf mask one of the mobs that could be pulled with Chardok AoE...or will chardok revamp stop the AoE since people need to do quests?

I've heard horror stories of farming that halfling mask.

Chardok is great exp for a normal grind group. Its a shame non-classic chardok AoE sort of limits the ability of normal groups to go grind out exp there; the experience is way better than seb or KC. You CAN still go down there with a group though, as daldaen said.

@zander: I'm pretty sure chardok AoE will still be doable post-revamp as most players will have the benefit of velious gear to offset any increase in average mob difficulty following the revamp. Just a guess though, I'm still pretty much of the opinion that chardok AoE should be a lot harder than it is even at this point in the timeline though.

I'd guess it could be pulled. I just forget if some of those named are too high to stun.

The only quests that Chardok revamp add are the 2 rings and the spirit wracked cord. Both of which basically only have turnins in Chardok. So in that players will be working to become ally with Chardok, there may be less people AOEing, yes. But most likely there will still be people willing to forego those quests for uber exps.

I'll be curious to see if people try Velketor's AOE. I PLed there for a bit on Mac with my 65 enchanter PBAE stunning all the spiders and gargoyles while people AOE'd them. Was solid exp and good velium farming. Not quite the exp of infinity spawn with the same method but the change of scenery was nice.

Yea you can go there and set up shop grouping. Just be prepared to be RNFed if you upset the natural order there. Some people sell proxies 12-18 hours a day. They will get very upset losing that income due to some random group exping.

But it's within your rights on the server to do given you let them choose the camp they want and then you may get whatever camp they don't claim.

Halfling Mask* the half elf is in jaggedpine, i knew what you meant :P

I don't know how deep chardok aoe groups pull now, but the halfling mask guy is down past the herbalist huts.

I did this on my rogue probably took somewhere around 60 hours on and off, did it on my bard a year or 2 later and it didnt' take me 10 hours. It can be a ridiculous camp...

i wasnt thinking of named as such, the skeletons around there have decent gem drops, and the dogs aroudn the herby hut drop high end alchemist herbs.

or are both those only post revamp?

We used to camp in the cubby hole, where the entrance to chardok b was put.....cant recall when, we did this maybe 2002 sometime. WOuld use the secret water tunnel to get there. or just jump off the bridge above.(more messy)
