Heya all... Forgive me it has been a long while since I played so this may be user error.

I tried uploading the June 2014 files, and i am gettting an error that a .dll file has a trojan. I tried skipping it, but alas will not let me patch. Not sure if it is me or maybe it has been so long since I have logged on.

Thank you in advance!

AVG says: Thread: Trojan Horse Generic1.c.RVF (see link for SS of trojan)http://postimg.org/image/k1bubl0bb/

My bad. Thank you Thulak. I had an inkling after posting this I should maybe take a half hour and see if anyhting has been posted. Blame it on the p99 bug and wanting to buff newbies in WC after months and months... :) I shall keep you posted if I have any problems.

Well seems like AVG is still flagging despite me telling it to not flag it and to ignore it. I will keep trying to mess with it, but so far. AVG is unrelenting in letting this file go. I have done 3 reboots, told it to ignore the threat... no go.

had to fix this on a friend's computer last night, disabling "User Account Control (UAC)" finally let him play

Disabling UAC should fix this IF your install is in a "Program Files" folder, IE:
c:\program files\everquest\

If not, you may have to disable AVG while playing EQ.

Thank you all for the help. Disabling AVG to get the file installed did the trick. I just disabled it for 10 mins, and that allowed me to install the .dll file.

Thank you all again for all ur helps :) Now I can go buff and get my long-awaited p99 fix :)

Well so sorry to be a pain in the hiney :) So iI felt like logging on.. and i hit my beloved project 99 icon, and I get this error and then AVG pops up with same error. I had hit ignore, and thus i did again but now no go?

Forgive me as I may have missed some blatant message how to remedy. Any kind words or directions would be hugable!!

I simply use "temporarily disable AVG protection" for 5 minutes, Open client and play. AVG doesnät interfere with client when its running, only when it attempts to launch.

Why is it being flagged anyway? I mean I had the same issue and this the first time I tried a emulated server in years, but back in the day I don't recall ever having this issue with files being flagged as false positives. Why is it an issue today?

Options / Advanced / Exceptions / Add Exception in AVG (or something similar to this (exemption?), at work so don't know exactly), add an exception for dsetup.dll and AVG will happily ignore the file in future.
