I finally logged in after about a month hiatus to say hi and what did I see? Another shaman epic fight in COM was about to go down, so I headed on over and got in on the action. It's nice to see there is always something going on in the guild.

So last night we were putzing around in Sky, and what happened? AN EARTHQUAKE!!

Anonymites quickly mobilized to Verina Tomb (grats Upheaval!) and Vessel Drozzlin (grats Yoldi!) then off to the Hole! Well, no dice on Master Yael, but grats Roobin on Jaiel the Insane, and grats Yoldi for Ghost of Kindle, and the last NPC drop needed for his epic!

Anonymous are awesome. When I was finishing my epic in Plane of Fear, I realized I derped and forgot to get Mark of Atonement. Ibbe helped me out huge, took time out of his raid to port me to Tox, wait for me to get it done, then port me back to Feerrott to do hand-in.

All of them were very congratulatory and very cool to help.

yup yup ! steppin up our game. Nice to get some head nods from all the guilds we respect.

We decided to pack up the socks last night and 5 minutes after everyone logging/doing a fun "practice run" the damn guy popped. So, we were left with half our raid force, half under rez effects, trying to get the mob done before the euro contingent could get on in force.

got him down pretty low, good for a first attempt as far as I am concerned. Would have been cake if we had stuck around another 20 minutes, but thats how it goes!

It was dark. Dim. Dingy. I knew the place I stood was safe... Relatively safe. But somewhere in the dark I could hear the clicking sounds of skeleton feet shuffling over rough cut stone. If I closed my eyes and listened intently, I could also hear the sounds of bile golems sliding across the same stones undisturbed by the skeletons and floating sperms they share this basement with.

I had ventured down here in search of experience and loot. I had found some but I had also found death and pain.

As I was reflecting on the death and carnage of the last few hours, I received a message from my companions-in-arms, my guildmates, <Anonymous>. The Plane of Hate had fully spawned and loot, experience, and honor awaited those who would venture in and send the minions thereof back to the infernal pit from whence they came.

As a rogue in his 51st level, gear is everything! I had visions of me striding around around in Woven Shadow Greaves and Boots...Vambraces even. But there I was; stuck in the basement of the Howling Stones.

I asked the guild for help and a short time later, Oteso the wizard showed up. The very air around him seemed to come alive with sparkles and within seconds, we were standing on a wizard spire a continent away.

I looked around and I could see was a plethora of fellow guildmates awaiting the start of this grand expedition. My fellow guildmates were at first shocked to see me (for I have not raided in at least 5 months). Their shock quickly turned to shouts of greeting as they welcomed me back to the <Anonymous> raiding scene.

It was a flurry of activity as we formed ourselves into groups but in a short time we were ready to leave. Oteso started ferrying groups up to the Plane of Hate. My group of adventurers was the third or fourth group to port up and I remember standing there waiting to go... Feeling my gorge trying to rise as I steadied my nerves for the coming conflagration.

The wizard spire disappeared and when my vision cleared, I could see we were in the Plane of Hate and that the room was already safe and secured. The first groups had done their job and done it well. We reassembled our travel groups into our fighting groups and our monks started pulling the minions of Hate to our camp.

The monsters started dropping and so did planar gear. Gear that is so highly sought after that men and women have given their lives just for the mere chance of obtaining it.

We soon worked our way from the zone-in to the organ hall. Killing the spawns of hell left and right. We soon had the Plane of Hate cleared and in an amount of time <Anonymous> will struggle to beat in future raids.

I looked around at my guildmates and could see their eyes alight with the visions of past glories and glories yet to come and I knew that this raid must continue. This raid force is a thing of legends and legends must be told of the day that <Anonymous> cleared Hate and then immediately assaulted Fear!

<Anonymous> left the Plane of Hate and we started making our way to the Feerrott so we could mobilize for the Plane of Fear. In another life, I am an Ogre Shadow Knight of the 52nd level. I shifted over to my other form and met up with the raid force in the Feerrott.

My fellow guildmates were chomping at the bit in anticipation and after just a few moments, we raced as a herd through the portal.

Over to the west wall we ran. Creatures were on us like flies on spoiled meat. We fought for our lives. Nay... We fought for the glory of <Anonymous>! We fought like lions. Like dragons. We fought with a fury born of the memory of all of our guildmates who have ever lost their lives in this accursed plance. We fought. And we won. We cleared that plane of the filthy creatures who call it their home.

I remember... after the last mob fell... I looked around. Guildmates surrounded me. Some beaten. Some bruised. Some covered in the spattered blood of friends and foes alike. Some in new gear. Some in the same gear they were wearing when they entered the Plane of Fear. All with looks of excitement and satisfaction on their faces.

These are my comrades-in-arms. These are my allies. These are my Guildmates!

I was sitting in the Seafarers' Roost in Freeport having a pint with my faithful comrade-in-arms, Dogofwarjr. The tavern wenches had long since stopped serving us. Not due to our inebriated states (we were far from drunk) but due to the pinches and winks. Dog is an uncultured barbarian warrior from the north and I...well let's just say that my mother taught me how to behave around women but her lessons did not make the impression upon me she had hoped.

We were boasting to each other of our exploits (I have a feeling that most of Dog's exploits were true, very few of mine were) when we received an urgent message from our Guild, <Anonymous>. One of the rogues in our guild was ready to kill General V'ghera in the Kithicor Forest and could use all of the help we could muster. Killing General V'ghera was the last step he needed before he could claim his epic weapon, Ragebringer. Thinking of Ragebringer made me think of my own Ragebringer sitting on the table in front of me. Ragebringer is an integral part of being a rogue. It defines you.

My guildmate has worked long and hard to earn Ragebringer and is more than deserving of my help.

Dog and I looked at each other. I sheathed my Ragebringer and without a word, we leapt to our feet and ran out the door.

Then we ran back in because we forgot to pay. Then we ran back out the door again.

The Kithicor Forest was several miles from Freeport but we were bound and determined to help. Thankfully, as we were leaving Freeport we bumped into a druid who kindly granted us the Spirit of the Wolf. We felt faster. Nay! We were faster!

We hurried through East Commonlands ignoring the cries of other adventurers hocking the booty they had acquired in their travels.

We raced past the druid rings in West Commonlands where wood elf, halfling, and half elf druids (I even thought I spotted a human druid) were trying to interest travelers in teleports to far off lands.

We arrived in the Kithicor Forest at night.

This frightening land is tame during the day but at night, it becomes Innoruuk's playground. His minions roam free, attacking those who venture here with a frenzy. Dog and I surreptitiously made our way to the entrance to Rivervale (the land of the halflings) where we met up with our Guildmates.

Our Guildmates were looking resplendent in gear they had recently obtained from the planes. And they were thirsty for battle. Dog and I found a group and prepared ourselves for battle.

In just a few minutes, General V'ghera was pulled to camp and the battle commenced in earnest. General V'ghera is an exceptionally powerful Dark Elf.

We started chipping away at him while he delivered punishing blows to our main tank, Odaks. In my rage, I must have stepped too close to General V'ghera because he immediately turned and delivered a series of blows to me that immediately incapacitated me and sent me back to my bindpoint in the Field of Bone.

I waited in the Field of Bone for resurrection and I watched the messages from <Anonymous>. Odaks required a heal. And another. And another. I had no idea whether the battle was going poorly or in our favor. My nerves were raw with anticipation when Guildmates started whooping and congratulating our rogue on acquiring his epic drop. Seconds later, I was revived and at my feet I saw two corpses. My own and General V'Ghera's. I looted my gear while congratulating our rogue and a few short minutes later, he announced that he had claimed his Ragebringer!

I was weary and needed rest after all of the sitting in Field of Bone. I chose to not go with the rest of <Anonymous> to the Lake of Ill Omen to help destroy Xenovorash for our monk's epic drop. With an elite group like <Anonymous> at his back, I have no doubt that he had Xenovorash's demon fangs in his hands before the night was through.
