Disconnect in Character Creation

It appears that every time, regardless of server, I try to make a character, I DC during the end of the character creation. I believe it's specific on choosing a name - every time I type a name and hit "next" or hit "get name" the game stops responding (it lags) and then DC's.

I can't play the game because I can't create a character. Any help?

What race / class combination are you trying? While the Titanium client may offer combinations not classic, only classic combinations will allow you to continue to log in.

I've tried Ogre Shadowknight and Berserker, Dark Elf Shadowknight, Necromancer and Wizard.

The Berserker is not, and never will be, an available option on the Project 1999 server. After trying that combination, have you logged all the way out of the game and started from the shortcut again?
