Have the devs seen this stuff before?

http://web.archive.org/web/20001202134200/www.everlore.com/geography/default.asp?mapID=1509

Mobs/items/quests in left column are from original Paw.

Image of mob spawn locations.

Contains screen shot of old Paw showing a couple mob locations which match the map above.

This thread contains more information than I posted here, go check it out if you're interested.

Yup that was the original PaW. If you wanted to get your mid teens group together at Qeynos (or your group made the decision in Black Burrow because it was too crowded) and make the run out there, it was quite the awesome place. Due to the massive over crowding of BlackBurrow, you could most likely make the run out here and have some room and a good camp in the dungeon.

And then they changed it to the new Paw, wierd, that I actually still think of it as being new.

I think the problem is that they don't really have the ability to just recreate the old zone. Even if they knew all of the spawn information I don't think they have the time to invest into designing an entire zone when the "new" paw is still eventually classic anyway.

Uhh... what? What is there to recreate besides spawn information?

Didn't the zone itself actually just look different? As in, didn't they remodel the dungeon completely? I could be mistaken.

My favorite quote:

well the shaman part doesn't mean crap. I remeber at level 1 with ym shaman useing a rusty axe just because i could equip it. SO you who doubt shaman can EQUIP some swords, just go die. But this weapon is still a fake. not on any other pages and i got friends who have killed everything in PAW and got at least 4 of every item that drops there.

:D

It is all well and good but, by this time on live the zone was, as it is now on p99.

I thought for a long time you were right, but I also have heard a bunch of stuff about the zone change being tied to the cleansing of the karanas, which was apparently kunark or velious, I think velious.

I'd be interested to learn the truth w/o spending my own time on it, anybody wanna humor me?

Shows the patch notes from when PoS opened. Also has a note about the mobs in New Paw being too tough.
