Hi all,

I was searching for some old Gambosoft pages last night and came across a link to this GINA application on the official SOE EverQuest boards. It was created by an EQ Live player as an update/replacement for GamTextTriggers from Gambosoft and has a load of features which make it much more flexible. For a quick overview of what the program does, see the author's post on the SOE boards here: https://forums.station.sony.com/eq/index.php?threads/audio-triggers.201407/#post-2974343

You can find the utility on his web site here: http://eq.gimasoft.com/GINA/

Disclaimer: This is not my software. I simply found it and thought the community may find it useful.

If its easier to use (yes I'm technologically impaired sometimes) then I'll probably be giving it a go..thanks for posting it up :D

Very interesting. The timer feature would be awesome for 6 minute spawns.

Anyone have some good triggers that they would like to post?

Bump for awesomeness. Lots of talk about chat windows, etc. today.

I want to get visual timers setup for root and fear, but nothing seemed to work. I had the search string as "{s} looks very afraid" and that did not work. Also, tried with root and that did not work either. Also downloaded some of the templates and none of them had fear or root.

Anyone manage to get visual timers work?

I have an audio trigger for root break.
A timer for snare duration (with cancel on XP message)
A timer and audio for Wizard harvest (10 min recast)
a new timer each time my lowbie enchanter lands mez (only issue here is mez break early, and re-casts can cause several incorrect timers ticking down, still trying to see if I can refine this)

don't put any variables for your text strings.

Just use "looks very afraid" and give it a shot.

Here's a few triggers I use a lot: http://p99.yourfirefly.com/Welgrim_GINA_triggers.gtp

For sound alerts, you will need to go choose the sound file you want for each alert after importing them.

* Hail received (popup alert/sound)
* Tell received (sound)
* Skill-up (sound)
* Camp check (popup alert, sound)
* Invited to group (popup alert, sound)

Anyone have any luck getting this running on a Mac?

The variables and the timers are working for me just fine, maybe the problem was that the trigger category was not checked for the selected character?

This program is a huge improvement to GTT in that you don't have to remember to point it to a different logfile if you switch characters, and that you can specify different trigger groups for different characters. No more mez timers popping up for my cleric! :D

Thank you very much for sharing Norova. I would not have even thought about doing alerts for these kinds of things!
