It's just a massive time sink that goes no where. Even once your level 60, your options are to:

A. farm another item
B. make a new level 60 character and farm all the same items over again.

It fails in this regard to create a living breathing world. Which many of us probably hope for. But we just keep playing to have that false sense of accomplishment and to be around our 'friends'.

Unfortunately, both P99 and R99 have gotten to the point where it takes a massive investment/time sink to become a desired part of the community. And if your a ranger.

Well. We all know about rangers.

I mean, if there were players exploring and playing the old world and I could just jump right in and get those fun quick groups 1-60. In those places I use to love for nostalgias sake.

But even that is a massive time sink. Requiring dedicating a solid 6+ hrs to.

R.I.P. highpass hold. I will miss your mountainy, orcy, gnolly, gobliny goodness for ever.

I just can't dedicate my life to this game forever. :(

I would say it looks like you need to write a book or draw some pictures or make a game yourself.

You know what is fun? Make a level 1 character in any city... then get your easel and canvas nearby... and simply run around in the city til you find an NPC you want to paint.

Then all you need to do is settle down with some homemade muffins and a water flask - and paint something really special :)

The whole point of any game is a time sink while having fun. It sounds like you don't have fun playing EQ so move on to something else.

The problem with work...

It's just a massive time sink that goes no where. Even once you retire, your options are to:

A. buy another car
B. start working again and buy more cars

It fails in this regard to create a living breathing world. Which many of us probably hope for. But we just keep working to have that false sense of accomplishment and to be around our 'friends'.

Unfortunately, both technical and professional jobs have gotten to the point where it takes a massive investment/time sink to become a desired part of the community. And if you're an unskilled worker.

Well. We all know about unskilled workers.

I mean, if there were workers learning and working in the old workforce and I could just jump right in and get those fun quick pension jobs. In those fields I used to love for nostalgias sake.

But even that is a massive time sink. Requiring dedicating a solid 6+ years to.

R.I.P. McDonald's. I will miss your greasy, overpriced, mexican-ridden goodness for ever.

I just can't dedicate my life to this job forever.
