Hey I've seen some posts here but none seemed to have a solution, but here's my problem. When I try to run full screen if I click anywhere on the screen it minimizes me to desktop. Doesn't matter where I click, I get minimized. My second issue is that when I try to run wineq2, I can't seem to connect to a character. I can get to the server just fine, but I get an error that crashes me out everytime I try to play one of my toons. If anyone has any insight on how to fix either of these issues that would be great. As of now I play in normal windowed mode, but it's annoying cause if I move the mouse too far it goes off screen / seeing my desktop in the background is annoying. Thanks!

I had this same issue until I set up fullscreen in the INI

WindowedMode=FALSE
VideoModeBitsPerPixel=32
Width=1920
Height=1080

OK, so stupid questions, what is the ini file I change that in, and do I have to go into game first to match those settings, log out then do it, or can i just change it in the ini and log in. Thanks!

Change it out of game and then log in.

It's eqclient.ini in the main EQ folder.

The reason to do it this way is, for me at least, because when you switch fullscreen resolutions in game you get the OS cursor which pops you out of fullscreen when you click.

By setting up fullscreen in the INI then I can log on and play normally. If I ever alt-tab, the same behavior happens again until log off and restart the game.

I'm trying to figure out how to play with WinEQ 2 and keep the same client and UI settings that I have when I play without it. Anyone know how to do this?

So I tried this, and windowedmode and videomodebitsperpixel don't exist, and it wouldn't let me save the changes to the resolution change. :(

Hmm must be a wineq2 thing, not sure b/c I have never used it. But normally client.ini is populated with these fields when you first log in.
