Young wizard seeking help in Guk

Is there anyone available this afternoon (it's 2:20 pm EST) to help me with a quest? I need to pick up a rod off the ground in the hand room of Lower Guk, and I basically can't move much past the zoneline. My name is Omica in game.

Good way to do this:

Find someone who can cast invis to undead.
Invis yourself.
They invis to undead you.

Run like hell to Hand room, if you start to appear, gate.

If you make it, grab rod, find one of the hidden pits near magi, fall in, gate.

That's how I did it @ around 22ish...

I helped someone do this on Sunday. They casted invis on themself first, then I casted ITU on them and they ran like hell. Get a SoW before you zone into upper guk.

Not to derail this thread, but doesn't picking up the rod make invis drop? This is the only reason I haven't started this on my Wizard, because I was positive it did.

Thankfully no. Otherwise several of the rod pickups would have gone south for me.

As far as the double invis + sow, that's what I did when I initially tried this today. The invis v. undead dropped as I was deep inside with packs of undead on both sides of me, so I gated out. Either way, I still don't know my way around down there anyway. I'm sitting at the zone line right now working up the courage to find this rod.
