This is a bit work "intensive" and I hate to even suggest it, but the benefits can be pretty amazing IMO.

When you email verification to forum registrants, include a unique code.

This unique code, could be used by certain forum moderators to verify who someone's account is in-game, including players on that account.

Of course people can always use alt accounts, but there are repercussions to being a fucking piece of shit on the boards to that character from then on. And if that doesn't work we can completely ignore accounts who haven't been validated and the atmosphere here would improve greatly for everyone.

I would even volunteer to be someone who validates people. I don't want any moderation powers, none in-game, nothing.

Just the ability to PM someone WITH said power with a confirmation and then at their convenience they can give them a custom title or find a script for the forums with some sort of use near to what I am suggesting to list these things under their name.

Just an idea, and feel free to poke holes in it, or point out existing ones.

Bump for visibility.

It's time to start removing forum trolls and holding people accountable for being pieces of shit.
