ATTENTION: Upper Guk is *down*

ever since the patch i go to log in and hit enter world and get you have been disconnected....patch broke my shit=( worked until servers came back down for change..

Same here, happened as I zoned into Upper Guk from the swamp. Can't login now, I get the "You have been disconnected" screen.

That's the same exact thing that happened to me... I was zoning into Upper Guk, got DC'd, then get that message every time I try to log in...

Seems like Upper Guk is down, I logged in just fine in innothule. I watched someone zone in and then they went offline.

My shaman Phate is logged out in Upper Guk and every time I try to log in I go through the loading and screen and get disconnected. I was thinking maybe the zone is down but usually when a zone is down you get a message when trying to log in that character in the zone, doesnt happen like this.

Yeppers - all was well until I zoned back into uguk and doing a /who all guktop seems to render no players. I logged on to other chars fine - Bleh, guess we just have to wait!

While doing random /w all guktop I actually saw a player in there (didn't appear to be GM) for quite a while and he/she even managed to get into lguk afterward... no idea how that happened, but it'd be awesome for farm an empty zone (from players) :D

You probably saw their ghosted character as I moved them, I've been moving people as they petition. Just use the proper channels and dont send me tells about it.

But if you log onto a different character you may be able to talk to one of the GMs/Guides and they can get your stuck 'toon out of the zone. May I just say that we have the most responsive admin folks I've ever seen! <3

At this time, Upper Guk is offline and inaccessible to players. Attempting to enter the zone will result in disconnection from EverQuest.

We are asking players to please not enter the zone until we announce that it is fixed with a game-wide broadcast, and here on the forums. Again, please do not enter the zone.

We have no ETA on when Upper Guk might be fixed, so Guides are on hand to relocate your stuck characters as needed to Innothule Swamp.

Someone told me to post a petition in the "Exploit/Petition" (http://www.project1999.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=25) section of the forums. I'm still waiting for my character to be moved though.

Right now my main char is stuck inside lguk and since I can't use uguk to get out and there it's almost unlikely that porters can get in to teleport me out, is it suitable for me to /petition to be warped out to inno? :confused: otherwise, I may be stuck in there for days :eek:

Unless a guide or dev comes on here and posts otherwise... Just log into another character and /petition in game. If you dont have another character.... make one. I got a response in less than 5 minutes and was moved out of the zone.

Yes, please petition in-game! Guides will move your character to a functioning, adjacent zone in less than five minutes. Make an alt if you must.
