Ha, hardly. 100k in plat/items seems more than fair to me. Hopefully someone else feels the same. ;)

I hope so too sir, best of luck with your buy =)

Personally I am staying far far away from AoN's from now on...price dropping too fast for my taste lol

Thats because the tards who were selling them picked arbitrary prices like 230k regardless of how much people were actually willing to buy them for. Thats why you see these AoN threads that are like:

day 1
230k pm me

day 2
bump

day 3
bump

day 4
ok 215k pm me or /tell

day 5
bump

day 6
bump

day 7
200k firm!

day 8
bump

day 9
ok im feeling generous, 190k!

They just have this unrealistic idea of how much the item is worth, but now it seems to be slowly stabilizing and reaching more realistic prices.

I sold 3 AoN's for 300k+ a few weeks before the Duped AoN's hit the market. It was not unrealistic, they were rare..simple supply and demand. Once the duped ones hit the market the price went down. Not rocket science. So these "I told you so" posts are BS sorry, take the duped AoN's out of the equation and you would still see these selling for 300k. Whether someone "thinks" a price is realistic or not doesn't mean jack, whatever the highest bidder is willing to pay is realistic.

People arent even hardly willing to buy the duped ones for 160ish so I dont see how you figure there would be AoNs being sold around for 300k still. For all you know the three people that bought them for that much could have been the ones who duped and distributed them. Buyers that have an unlimited amount of money arent a good indicator of the other 99.8% of the market on the server :p

citizen1080
09-13-2010, 06:55 PM
Realistically the rest of the server doesn't matter. AoN's are only going to be bought by people with too much money period. It's a toy..fluff. The only use it has it to shrink down over sized classes and that can be done for a hell of a lot cheaper. I am sorry but I refuse to believe that AoN's went from 300k one week down to 150k the next because people "woke up" and realized they are not worth 300k. Price dropped due to duped necklaces flooding the market. That is my point

Pheer
09-13-2010, 07:08 PM
If there were still people willing to pay 300k for an AoN then these duped ones would be getting sold. That is my point.

citizen1080
09-13-2010, 07:36 PM
And my point is everyone who wanted one got the one they wanted from duped batch and these let over aon's have no market due to people who had the cash for one now have one. 150k or 300k..both amounts are out of reach for 99% of this server.

And how does that fit in with your theory that if these duped AoN's disappeared the remaining ones would go for 300k again if nobody has the money for them?

citizen1080
09-13-2010, 08:58 PM
take the duped AoN's out of the equation and you would still see these selling for 300k.

If you take the time to read what I said you would see that I said out of the equation..meaning they never hit the market, meaning people who wanted them were not able to buy duped ones for cheap, meaning they still had the money and still wanted them, meaning there would be more people with money looking for the few aon's up for sale.

Pheer
09-13-2010, 09:18 PM
Theres a big difference between 160k and 300k, the people who bought duped ones may not have been able to afford them for 300k even if they never hit the market, so it would have been the same result

This arguement is kind of moot though since its based on assumptions by both of us, so lets just end it here if you dont mind.

Not a argument friend =) just a economic discussion! The best kind...well other than ones about boobies =)

I appreciate your time and input tho =) Helped pass some time sitting here in the tunnel =p

Oldhead's thread bump service.

Anyway, I dont see Bob talking much... must say he is spot on if the dupe thing is true.
I heard about that a bit but I got no details.

Why dont the GM's remove all duped items???
Not that I mind... my Troll SK will love a low priced AON duped or not I dont care.

JayDee
09-15-2010, 05:51 PM
Yeah, makes absolutely no sense. Infact, my roomy made a thread about it and nilbog locked the thread and said duping had never happened. I understand he didn't want the player base in a state of panic, but everyone alrdy knew by then.

Fact is, all items like that have identification numbers. I don't see why you wouldn't run a check on all aon's, manastones, and cof's periodically. Those are the only 3 non lore items I think she be watched carefully.

Ironic thing is the only one of those items I need is a CoF and nobody has ever duped that lolol.

Chodan
09-15-2010, 06:21 PM
i thought raren got banned cause he had 16 CoFs in his bags?

The server has only been running for a year right? How is it people have so much plat already? This is a bit disturbing for me as I am just about to get started soon

Kelven
09-17-2010, 09:17 AM
A year is plenty of time for people who play the majority of the day, and/or farm items that sell for 10-15k a pop.
