Did i catch a GM/Guide abusing his powers?!

Ok here the the situation i zone into Sol a gana get me a Lord G ring. I do a /w all only 4 ppl in zone I show up to lord g room its clear yes but no one around. I set up camp gana wait to see if anyone shows back up to claim as no one was in the room as I entered.

A couple min after pet is summoned and ready I get a tell from a guy in Europa named Natoria saying he is at the spawn spot camping Lord g but he is leaving soon. I'm fine with that I'm not gana be a dick but he isn't showing up in the /w command still only the same four people. So I /w all Natoria and he shows up saying he is in Sol A? first flag flies. The mob pops instantly agros, my pet one round of combat goes off then the mob instantly dies by an unseen hand?! WTF!!!! Second flag flies..... Did i catch something i wasn't supposed to am I going crazy or was a GM/Guide abusing his powers?

Off the top of my head...

Person that killed is not on the zone list after being bugged. - (my guess since the /w didnt show the person in zone)
Person that killed the mob is using a hack.
GM DT'ed it.

I've definitely bugged out and haven't been able to "see" people in zone. It's super annoying when they're grouped with me - looks like they're out of zone yet they're standing right next to me and I can't interact with them in a normal group way (buffing healing etc). Gotta camp out to fix that shit.

As far as the "unseen hand", perhaps you were bugged, and this "unseen hand" message is the default message that is displayed by the server when something dies from damage from a person that isn't registering on your client. So, maybe, the guy was bugged out and not displaying in zone yet standing there the whole time, and dropped a massive nuke on it or something that killed it but since your client was all like lolhesnothere it just displayed a "well something killed it" message.

No, he would. This happened to me two nights ago. My group cleric Verenity was displayed as 'out of group' - I couldn't see him in the zone at all (his character or /who), but he registered on a /who all and it said he was in the same zone as me.

Had to camp out to fix it.

"Being slain by an unseen hand generally means you were killed by something that isn't on the entity list. (An invisible gm is one example) But you would still see some damage source, afaik. Even /kill and #kill send a packet that forces you to hit yourself for 10000000001 damage. It is possible to load up MQ on the server and send a packet to do that and steal a camp. It's just logged, not autobanned.

This has got to be the work of the inside RMT circle, farming SolA for max profit. No doubt about it. Good work!

A lot of people have said it, but this is a very common bug. It's usually caused by entering a zone at the same time as someone else, but not always. When you loaded the zone, you didn't get the information for this player for whatever reason. You can't see them, you can't /who them, and if they kill something you'll get the unseen hand message. They will show up on /who all though, since that's looking at server info as opposed to zone info. If you camped out and back in, you'd be able to see them fine.

This is exactly it. Your local client did not have an entity for Natoria. It received data from the zoneserver regarding combat, etc., but had no clue who the source was, so it displays the unseen hand message. This is a known bug where sometimes another character in the zone can't see you physically but can see you on a /who listing. This happened to a TMO druid in Rivervale last night as we were both racing to kill Nillipuss first. Said druid could see my druid in zone but could not /target or see me on the screen. Usually this is fixed by one or both parties logging out/back in. Can be entertaining to play around with opening/closing doors and other things, OMG there's a ghost!!
