Merchant respawns?

If you kill a merchant does it respawn with no items on it so you can buy things back from it? what is the respawn on a merchant anyway? Like say in North Freeport? Curious, thanks!

It currently respawns with its old item table. But this is incorrect.

Killing merchants in classic reset their items.

Yea i just suicided a couple to see what would happen. /sadface

Some low level guys in town were watching and it looked like it was a good wtf moment for them so that was cool at least.
