I am going with PS4. After going through 4-5 Xbox 360s due to red ring and other problems. I also don't like the whole camera is always on thing. /tinfoil hat.

I always played ps so I went with a ps4. I only play madden, but have 10-15 other games I have played maybe for a day or two. The ps4 is only $400, so even if you dont like it you still have a blueray player and easy access to netflix( have smart tv anyway).
P.s. I have never played an xbox before so I dont know how that goes. But the wii u gets more use then the ps4( played ps4 tops 30 times in a year or two, got it the week it came out). If you have kids get a wii u. If you dont have kids get a nice pc. If you have kids/dont and got money and a nice new pc. Just pick one and say fuck it.

My wife has Xbone. It has that windows 8 interface that just reminds me of cheap plastic windows phones. I went with PS4, among other reasons, because of The Last of US and for the upcoming Day-Z'ish looking game called H1Z1.

don't mind me, I'm a jaded gamer that is still salty about the dreamcast going under and I maintain that every game made after that time period basically sucks

Im sorta leaning towards PS4, because more of my friends have that console. Trying to get g/f to play some vidyas with me, shes not into p99 and her laptop is a POS so thought console might be the way to go.

If she isn't a semi hardcore gamer. Go with Wii-U if you want her to play stuff. Out of all the consoles I have owned. The only one that I could get other women to play with me was Wii, and regular Nintendo. From what I have seen most like the party games (like smash brothers/mario kart/mario party) or the Link/Zelda series.

That's true she does love the zelda stuff, also new mario kart looks pretty sweet. Might need to consider that.

BTW the PS4 remote play on the vita is amazing .. Runs well off phone hotspot

PS4 if you want the max out of a gaming rig, Xbox one if you watch more movies, music, etc. If your rich enough get both. Unless you're a real super nerd, you probably won't tell the difference between the two besides the Xbox one graphics being lackluster compared to the ps4.

I have heard rumors that the WiiU has an incredible game lineup this year and is probably the console that's bringing the most entertainment to gamers and families alike. Can anyone confirm this? I may actually get the Wii U

Mario Kart 8 is amazing as is the new Smash Bros. Bayonetta 2 is probably my favorite game of the year, too (plus it comes with Bayonetta 1 for free if you are in the US).

You can get a refurb Wii U from nintendo's website for $200 and it comes Nintendo Land. I'm pretty sure most of the refurbs are actually unused, mine was spotless when I got it.

I just bought the gta5 ps/4 bundle. As a tried and true PC gamer I am really enjoying this ps4. The graphics are very good. Much better than I expected. I'll be curious to compare it to my PC when gta5 comes out in January. Also, some of the games on my wishlist in Steam (Transistor, for one) are cheaper on the ps4 store than they are on steam.

Wii U is by leaps and bounds the best local multiplayer console.

PS4/One much like PS3/360 caters mostly to single player/online experience. Sooo many fucking games could easily be made into local multiplayer or multiple local players online, but go with the single player/single player online experience. The obvious reason is to sell more consoles.

Wii U has honestly the most FUN games, because they give you the experience of playing while sitting bside three of your pals.

Last gen I went 360. This round I went ps4. Don't regret it at all. Graphics are killer, the controller feels much more comfortable vs the ps3 since they increased the size, and having a speaker on the controller is kinda neat.

Plus The Last Of Us remastered is reason enough for a lot of people. I'm more of a pc gamer vs console but I haven't touched my PC since buying the ps4 a few months ago.
