Wes Anderson movies are hit and miss. I like his style, but some of his movies just feel like first drafts. I only saw this one once and I don't remember much about it, so it must have been a miss.

I disagree Ravager. Darjeeling is one of his best in my opinion. Royal Tenenbaums being the absolute best. Life Aquatic is great, Mr. Fox was very good. I wasn't huge on Grand Budapest or Rushmore though... Moonrise should not be missed.

Darjeeling is the best movie. I have tried so hard to really quantify my order of favorite wes anderson movies. and when I do it always seems like Royal Tenenbaums drops too far.
Its always life aquatic, darjeeling limited, moonrise kingdom/royal Tenenbaums with 3 and 4 swapping so much.
When the movie changes gears and that Kinks song hits its the best fucking thing ever.

Moonrise Kingdom is fantastic. It seems to be a more forgotten one. Bottle Rocket is good but its very owen wilsony.

"I'm very sorry for your loss. Your mother was a terribly attractive woman."
Royal T's is a phenomenal work.
One of my favorite parts of the Darjeeling is when Owen Wilson warns Schwartzman and Brody not to ask his traveling companion (Brendan) about his skin, "he has this condition where his head is shaved but he doesn't have to shave it."
Then later in the movie when the train stops and they're all standing off to the side, Brendan goes,
"Why are your eyes so red?"
Owen's like, "Why is your head so bald?"
"...because I have alopecia."
"Oh, yeah. That's like albino, right?"
"No... not really."

I agree with Tenenbaums. That one is fantastic. Maybe I'll have to give Darjeeling another view, I might have just been tired that day when seeing it. Grand Budapest was the last one I saw and maybe that's the one that felt like a first draft to me, because I liked the concept, but it seemed half-hatched.
Moonrise Kingdom was great, except in one scene I half expected Pedobear to show his face.
just watched Grand Budapest Hotel, loved it, had heard/read mostly mixed reviews but probably one of my favorite of his
