Of course, he got his comeuppance when he accidentally typed a cyber message in guildchat one day, something about drenching someone in his... nevermind.

His name was Occy. And it was one of the greatest eq mistells ever. Couldn't have happened to a nicer douchebag.

I was in a raiding guild on the nameless server during PoP days. when i started going to the raids one indiividual in our guild saw my name which was Radeina and told me it was girly. Today i realize he was right, i was in my tweens making my forst ever eq char and i wanted to name him raiden but of cpurse that didnt submit so i was trying to rade (like gatorade) rade-in (so now i have raiden sounding) then added the a because radein didnt work either. Throughout my whole raiding career this guy was my first and only cyber bully. Every raid he wpuld make fun of me in tells saying things like whats up girly dude you suck at your char bla bla. Almost every raid. I tried ingnoring but eventually i told a officer in the guild and they were like ya we know hes kind of a dick but hes been with us since the beginning so i just had to deal with it. Eventually i think he stopped playing. He was a rogue and roleplaying the part well :p asshole.

Southpaws from anonymous stole my AC in SRO after I told him I was killing pH's at the right time to spawn him, been playing on this server for around 4 years on and off and that was one of the worst moments I've had yet, cept maybe TR shitting on me for being a newb when I first started playing on p99

Last week we saw a full group of true noobs in rags at MM graveyards, we were three twinks prob even fungus on our tank, rolled in, killed their cleric and then KSed every mob to entrance until their group morale broke and we convinced the three best geared they had to just roll with us and kill the rest of em when they tried to help their cleric on CR so they could run to Unrest.

This happened on the Red Server and the guy would not call LNS. So really, in this story, we are the good guys abiding by the rules set forth by our brave staff here at p99. Pras it.

Still not sure if dick move or not.

Back in the days when eq started tapering off, I was one of the few bards that wasnt some autofollow bot. Lanning at a friends house, we were just screwing around anyways. Some guy sends me a tell that they need a bard for their BoT raid. I asked my friend if it was cool if i went on a raid. He said sure. So I asked the guy how they were doing loot. He said DKP. I told him no thanks, I have no desire to earn dkp with a guild Im not going to raid with frequently( I had my own guild for that). I would gladly participate if loot was CAWU. He went silent for 2 or 3 minutes. Then I got a tell from someone else, who ended up being the guild leader. He agreed to CAWU, and informed his raid as I turned on Selo's with my thunderous drums of Karana.

Everything was a normal raid with loot i didnt care about. Then we came up to the water boss, I think it was. Dropped him. and a wikked shank dropped.

I joined the channel for a chance at it. My friend of course was watching, he kind of chuckled seeing the shank link.

I will never forget, Ever, for the rest of entire life, the RNG rolled a 5. It took all of about 3 second for the who command to go through. And sweet jesus the bitching commenced. 15 yes count them 15 irate pissed rogues because the bard got a cool dagger that happened to have 12% backstab mod. The Bard who always was turned down for platemail because tanks and clerics always needed it first. The bard who always got offered junk ass instrument for his DKP, when they are absolute garbage when you have your epic. SWEET JESUS DIVINE RETRIBUTION IS AN AWESOME THING!

As the population increases I stop killing Quag cause when I do I see 3 SFs I should be getting but I'm medding. Tainted has been up for a bit and the pickings are thin. Some calls CC and 2 at AC...noone at Lizard. Same chick who calls CC kills tainted so its corrupted and Quag and he takes off. A few later I head to the Lizard that chick there just waiting for Quag and tainted to take a few out so he can head back. I should name and shame but I haven't seen her there in a while---

Most Dick thing I've ever witnessed - pull and set up 2 seafuries for root/rot. Player sees that I have more than 1 seafury and proceeds to pull tainted, roots him on top of my mobs kills him and proceeds to FD/Q whatever out to drop agro of corrupted (yellow con at the time) on to me. def a dick move as I've seen other people with 4-5 a time. I guess he REALLY wanted uncontested spawns...

Proceeded to train and wipe the raid and FD in the crowd of bodies. My stonewall was maxed so AE never touched me from the name that was in there. Similarly there was a gnome on Fennin that era named Demodren that would pull similar shenanigans.

round one was def the wiz. he was "helping out" and apologized several times and everyone was all cool and inc round 2 pull. then BOOM! no experience for the group again. The culprit withdrew into the crowd of Taken standing against the wall to preserve anonymity. laughs and tears were had by all. round 2 was...mysterious? either way it was a hilarious series of events.

I've always been amazed at the jackassery just putting the top two guilds in the same zone brings out.

My personal favorite from live: Top two guilds fighting over King Tormax. Guild#1 gets in force first and pulls while Guild#2 is still sitting at WL Zoneline. Clustercuss ensues with both guilds jumping on ol' Tormy, when suddenly:

King Tormax gates.

Hilarity and mass hysteria follow. Most of those present have No Idea what just happened and begin fleeing/panicking/shouting obscenities, the rest rendered useless as fits of uncontrollable laughter take hold. Eventually a_bard03 from Guild#2 takes responsibility and takes a break/quits. Still one of my favorite EQ memories.

Not as funny though was the all the shiestiness ST and VT brought out.. Waaaaayyyy too easy to control the bottlenecks for those zones.

Was trying to buy a Fungi back in 2000 (for 20k!) and the guy kept breaking the trade window and on the third attempt swapped in the cloth tunic which I thankful inspected before confirming the trade. He got more than a handful of people with that scam.

My main experience was with a cleric named Caris and her husband, don't recall which server. Fennin or Kane Bayle? Think the guild was Dragonfire Crusaders.

Anyways, she was always spending time with some other dude in the guild and eventually left her husband for him despite having children with him.

rallos circa 2001ish was buying a bd bracer. I think the deal was like 5k plus items. All trading was done in gfay, i was a de necro so had to meet the guy by bb zl. I was in a rush and put all teh shit in trade window and hit accept by accident and he immediately accepted trade. so the lvl 1 gnome bank mule walked back to gfay bank encumbered as shit cuz 5kpp all the while taunting me. i petitioned and nothing happened except for a system message about making sure to double check before you hit trade.
