Resists are fucked

The worst EQ PVP can get is when CC lands easy mode.

- Malosini lands almost always even with near 200mr.

- Blinds land way too easy.

- Roots land way too easy.

All targets being rooted, blinded or snared make PVP easy mode, and frustrating if you're the one dying.

It's not how it was on Live, and it isn't balanced, it's just broken.

haynar has posted several of times that he has scaled back the debuff increase for pvp to 50% (as it was on live) from 100% (as it is currently) this change will only go live when they patch though.

That's exactly the area Haynar is taking it - with MR counting for nothing all PVP is dumbed down completely.

Rogue BIS is around 180 MR, a monk around 150.

Malosini takes off 80ish and lands almost unresistable, meaning both classes have roughly 0 MR.

Blinds / Roots(edit) land first cast.

Just makes it boring and dumb - Samwise who's 9-4 on the leaderboard, and I've never seen him ever in end game PVP seems immersed in this discussion though after reading the PVP server chat thread -_-.

You do know there is a different code for resisting for spells cast upon yourself, right?

Preform your tests against a guildmate with his resists being screenshotted.

Search the web infact, there was a weird instance of once you reached some threshold value that code broke and it handled resists as if it rolled over from that value. I believe it was the wizards who would snare themselves with 350 MR who figured this out.

It wasn't a PvP issue if I recall it was just how the game worked on all servers. Maybe it was a special case for high resist values though, thought it was a generic thing that prevented you from killing yourself from AEs or stupid mistakes with higher resists.

Will investigate further. But really, test it on a guildmate for more data of why its not an issue.

Have been getting chain rooted after malo @ 185 MR but I wasn't level 60 so I think that might of been my issue.

If I get legit debuff shit should have a good chance to land. Its not legit though. I get shaman malosoni landing on first cast with high MR because they gave all high lvl spells built in resist mod with this last patch. Shaman don't really need to use the high mana unresistable malo that usually needed to be used.

Also being rooted with fetter makes your mr less effective. Our MR is up againsr debuff doing double and fetter having a unknown -mr mod added.. how does dev expect MR to compete against root when so many things currently mitigate MR (double debuff and modded spells)

The patch made all high spells basicaly have a (-100ish mod) I run around withb192 mr and I get malosinied constantly on first or second cast.

Bump, Casted Retribution on myself 22 times as a cleric and 3 landed partially with 52 mr, can officially do nothing on a cleric but heal in pvp, no nuking what so ever. shit is kinda redic

chaotic feedback should be damn near unresistable. as for cleric nukes and later chanter nukes, ye they shouldnt land past 140 mr. clerics werent killing anyone in classic but they also werent being killed. chanter can debuff the living shit out of you here which is basically a free kill for anyone tagging along. hate to say it but chanters/clerics shouldnt expect to be going around killing geared people, they are a support class in both pve and pvp.

Enchs have always been one of the best solo classes in the game, to say they are a support class is more then rediculous. During velious Innoruuk server had a best of inny gm ran tournament, as any old inny player could tell you. The winner was an enchanter. To say they were never able to land spells in pvp and pve is just..well ignorant. Bazia if I'm dumz, what is your experience in early pvp?

Then he drained my mana and pulled up a pet and let it beat on me. I've never forgotten that fight it placed me 3rd in that tourney. Granted this was velious eenchantes always had mezz and stuns that were harsh pvp. I even remember the name of the enchanter Daerius. Side note :his nukes were all resisted.

Here's what you don't understand about pvp sir.

A necro has a clickable low lvl lich. All good necros will have this so it will be impossible for any enchanter to mez a good necro. In botbs you arent allowed to use any potions so you won't be able to cure Plague/Ebolt (plague if hate shield). Tell me again how you allowed him to manadrain you and kill you? oh yeah you got your lich pelled and got mezzed and died.
