Just wanted to thank the crew for setting up this server, it's what I've been looking for!

After playing most of the other fantasy mmo's out there, nothing will ever compare to my original EQ experience back in 1999. Back when I made my first DE SK and had to follow someone to get out of Neriak!

I only wish I could of found it sooner! I think I stopped looking for a while right before project 1999 came out unfortunately.

It's been great nostalgia for my wife and I. Running through the old zones...seeing the old sights and sounds, it's a real treat. My only complaint so far is the IP exemption is taking forever, so my wife and I have to fight over which of us is going to play >.< I totally understand wanting to keep the integrity of the server in tact though, and respect that :)

So thanks again for doing this for us, it's wonderful :) I'm sure you get plenty of rants and flames, but keep up the good work!!! I'm sure there's plenty of silent happy people out there digging this blast from the past.

I don't really post much on these forums - but I definitely feel the same way. After leaving EQ in 05, I hopped around from Conan, to Warhammer, to WoW, and nothing compares to that classic feeling of the original EQ.

Even tho some of this is rinse/repeat from 10 years ago - it's the community that made EQ such a great game 10 yrs ago, and it's the community that makes this game fun to play now.

I agree completely! :) My husband and I left EQ in 2006ish, and tried EQ2, Vanguard, and Runes of Magic. All were lacking in one way or another...nothing could compare.

I am amazed at how well this server is run and the amount of dedication required in order to make it all happen. Thank you for providing us with so much (free!) enjoyment these past few weeks, because we are having so much fun!

It's been really great so far. Great community and the devs have been fantastic. I love that they stick to their guns on this and don't try to make some hybrid classic or whatever. Moreover, when I have petitioned, I have gotten an answer in minutes.

Thank you gentlemen for a job truly well done here. There is a reason this is the most populated EQMu server...
