Hello everyone,

Please offer any help or suggestions, thanks.

I just recently broke my dominant right hand a few days before starting P99. I have mapped my movement to WASD,
Strafe Q & E,
Attack F,
Target Tab,
Autorun V,
I cast with 1-10 & Alt 1-10,

I'm really having problems with a couple key issues so far: :(

1. Mouse clicking corpses since using the mouse is very, very tough. Then actually taking the items off of the corpse. Especially considering how much looting I do solo at low levels.
1A. Is there any way to target corpses with keyboard and loot with a /loot command?
1B. What about being able to pick up the drops off of the corpse without the mouse?

2. Chatting with group, strangers and the world of Norrath in general.
2A. Would I be able to incorporate Dragon NaturallySpeaking software to type in P99?
2B. Any other ideas for communicating without a dominant hand?

1a- no
1b - no

2a- no, the closest you can do is switch to a textpad program, use your speaking program on there, copy the text, and paste in eq with the shortcut to paste
2b- id try to use a voice chat program with the people you need to communicate with, if possible, otherwise you can roleplay as a mute or a mime

use /loot to open corpse
somehow get the item on your cursor then type /autoinv
It will drop the item to the first available slot in your bags.

Or get your wife to play while you command her to drive your toon.

"No not that spell, NO!"
"Ok, now /tell honeymuffin Hey baby, where you been?"

the issue is you cannot target the corpse with the keyboard, unless maybe it was targeted before it dies, i dont remember if the target drops when the npc dies

perhaps u can use the windows accessibility options to control the mouse with the num pad keys so u can click on things like corpses or items when u need to

Thanks for the help guys you are both all stars. I understand a lot of autoloot features have been removed due to botters. Thanks for the laugh and i'll look into your suggestions.

In the mean time, "Oh god it's that one handed enchanter Garthin again!". "Actually I'm rather impressed... :)"

EQ is the perfect game though because most MMOs now are button spam fests. Wish me luck :D

It's too bad i cant use a mouse cursor macro program :( to program a key to loot the certain quadrants of the corpse with a keyboard click. I wonder if I can petition for that ability providing a Doctor's Note.. lol... :(

You can target a corpse by making a hotkey /target A and /loot almost all mobs start with a in their name and if you hit that after killing them it will target the body laying on the ground. As far as looting you have to click item to /autoinv

Loot Assist
/target A
/loot
/*pause a few seconds code to allow loot time with mouse*
/*code to release corpse?* (esc or move forward?)

esc or move forward is best way to get out of corpse, but i dont know of a text code would just have to do it manually to release, still need mouse to click item on corpse in order to /autoinv

With the cursor over the item?

takes item off cursor and puts it in bag for you.

Hey BlkCamel & community. I'm having trouble navigating the spellbook and memorizing and changing spells all the time as an enchanter. Are there any text commands that relate spell gems to memorizing spells from the spell book? Such as names of the spells or page/slot#s from the book? I feel like that might have existed in later EQ but not Kunark/Velious, I hope i'm wrong.

I'll search the forum and in game help guide, thought i would ask here as well. Thanks in advance.

Have you thought about ordering a trackball from amazon?

It might allow you some of the mouse movements without the strain of moving your arm. I would imagine most actions, like memming spells and looting corpses could be done with one finger.

You can always return it if it doesn't seem to help.

Check out a Razer Nostromo.
Razer Tarturus is the new one. And I love it.
Also the Razer Naga Hex mouse. once you get some access to that hand back.
The Nostromo/Tarturus/Orbweaver alone will allow you to do everything on one hand.
Takes a little to get use to, but once you do it vastly improves your game.
Travel time to keys etc is shortened and every .1 sec makes a difference if you pvp or play other stuff.
Just for everquest though its nice to have all the keys under one roof so to speak.
