I would agree as well but sadly no.

It would be cool if a year or two after Velious they made a POP server tho.

This server would rather raid the same Velious mobs for 5 years rather than have any original innovations and additions such as retooling and working some of the planes into the server.

The spectre tower in Oasis could actually... serve a purpose as a zone in! Several of the planes could be some nice additions for raid content, but sadly, will never see the light of day here.

The entire expansion wont be released but they have mentioned plans for custom content which may include a PoP encounter or 2. Sounds like a lot of fun but extremely tough considering the absence of VT gear. However custom content would be really easy for them since they would only have to code the encounters and not an entire expansion. Who knows what types of custom content they may add in later. But as for now... Winter is coming :)

PoKnowledge will never exist.

Nexus... maybe.
AA's.. unlikely but I wouldn't completely rule them out.. maybe a small amount of them.

But reusing plane of power zones and attaching them to existing zonelines spread out across the current norrath, definitely a possibility. Those zones look great, and lots of room for content. All the mobs and itemization would be custom to stay in line with velious level RvR.

I loathed Planes of Power. That being said, by the time any of that stuff were to potentially filter down to here I'd be long finished with P1999 anyway so....ultimately I'm indifferent. I think a fixed and properly built Luclin would be better though.

Yeah, Alkabor is just like Project 2002, except instead of playing a character in Norath everyone plays half a group! :mad:

Someday someone will start a PoP server with P99's ruleset and quality staff, and all across the Internet nerds will celebrate as they finally play the game they miss from 2002. Until then every other non-P99 server will continue to fail because they allow boxing and other stupidity that P99 doesn't.

Rogean wrote that back in 2012. More recently (too lazy to find the thread) Nilbog said that it was actually easier for the devs to make completely new zones than it was to re-implement old zones, so Velious might just be the end of SOE-created zones for P99.
