Given eq emulators are pretty low population, I can see this being a threat from either banned RMters, or just low life scum. I wouldnt think it would be too much of an issue for MMO's. The data can always be recovered from the server after a format and reinstall. Maybe I am just paranoid but I am not techy enough to figure out how they get access to begin with.
I think discussion would be a good thing even though it does not specifically deal with eqemu. none the less it could happen. It seems to be a hack linked to steam for the most part. Some Emu;s can use the F2play steam client for live EQ. The best i can figure is get disc files, and try to avoid the steam client for emu.
