My guess is that these brave adventurers gathered to face the dangers of the Commonlands but were obliterated by a freak lightning strike in the center of their squad.

I can confirm that this is a GM cult ring of corpses and one of them is my body! I left a bag with some things on one of my corpses and it went poof, ty Eunomia for summoning my body! :D
