View Full Version : Hard-coding guild rotation

Is there any possibility testing, tiering, taking turns, rotations, slots, etc is going to be hard-coded into the game?
Like physically not allowing members of the wrong guild into the raid during the allocated times? I know it's not "classic" but neither is the GM enforced raiding.
Better odds on the Powerball.

Use the better odds to your advantage - win, buy out server, set own rules. SHORT CUT!

Dev's, Gm's dont care for rotations so i doubt they would work on any coding to assist in the process.

If you want those items and encounters you need to apply to the right guilds, unfortunately.

Not true: there was a great variety between the live servers in how GMs handled guild raid competition, and sanctioned rotations did exist on some of them.

Rodcet was legit free for all. Trains, KS, you name it. Literally anything goes.
We had roaming 6 man wiz KS groups that would jack 32k raid mobs from full guilds.
best, server, ever.

Manaburn(?) wizards right? That was definitely a thing :p

oh right, it'd have to have been manaburn. I dont think wizards could get it done with lures, must've been with manaburn

Yeah thats the problem here is everyone had different experiences on different servers. I came from Brell where there was rotations for everything.

Manaburn Team! My server had one of those too. No need to KS though ^^

i hate to say it but instancing is a better alternative than this, you seriously want to hardcode line-quest?

hell some servers even had public posted raid calendars

Lol, why would you need a manaburn team when 1 wizard could just manaburn the main tank and take whatever piece of raid loot he wanted and insta-gate away. No 6 way splits on loot. So many boots of the storm.

If it's hard coded, guilds won't have to deal with each other and people won't have the same opportunities to scream at each other or train each other... if something is a rule, why not code it?

Without instances, the game (Blue 99) is only large enough for two, maybe three well organized raid guilds at this point.

Based on this statement I am led to believe you have no clue how the server or the raid scene works. Plz go back to Azeroth you dirt peasant.
