Velious vs Team PvP server.. Whats the announcement?

What does everyone think? will the important announcement on Monday be about Velious launch date or about a team pvp server? or both!

I actually just went and looked this up... I like how the update before that was server launch day. Everything points to SoV release but everyone is too afraid to say it!

I think they should just convert Red99 to teams. Why split an already low pop server? I play R99 and played on SZ. It would hurt the existing guilds, but cmon, lets me real... team servers are more hardcore because you can be perma griefed into quitting or rolling a new team. Blubies will be pron to not jumping on the band-wagon of a team server.

SZ was based on deity/race. No level restriction on PVP, just TvT. And yes, there were sides who did not have access to certain classes. Once, you roll a side, you cannot make a character on the other team unless you create a new account, #tradecraft.

humans/neutral:

You can't attack anyone on your team, but you can buff/heal members of other teams.

That's correct.

And on live what actually happened was that lighties/good not having access to necromancers/SKs were missing summon corpse, so the devs added some form of token or consumable that could be used in lieu of the actual spell.

I remember that on SZ, evil side was dominating the server, not only in pvp but also in pve. This is why fansy and the whole "go go good team" were created. Fansy knew being a goodie on an evil/neut dominated server would give him tons of targets.

SZ was deity teams, VZ/TZ were racial teams. On VZ/TZ darkies did not get bards or paladins unless they crossteamed.

It would be SOOO amazing if that was it. Even just a new fresh server would be something epic.

If velious releases without a wipe or fresh server...then it will be new for about a week, and then all of the main quest drops will be perma camped and it will be the same boring pixel quest of twinking and raid lines.
