With all your experience with many toons, if you had to have just one toon, which one you choose and why?

It's a toss up, on blue I really enjoy my rogue but the necro gets shit done that is hard for the rogue to do without issues (camps etc way easier with necro). I'm much more invested in my rogue though, so would have to be her :)

Red - 250 JC enchanter? Couldn't afford to lose him so would have to keep him, but enjoy my cleric more than the enchanter.

Good thread <3

No, toons. Toss up between my ranger and rogue. Leaning towards ranger, because rogues are utterly boring at 60 unless you're raiding.

I don't care for the word either, but you're half a decade or more behind if you haven't heard it ^^

I once said "gear" in EC's ooc and got a load of abuse off someone who didn't like that word for "items"...was it you? :)

Damn, that's a bit too much. I don't like people who type like "hay cn u sow me plz n giv sum bufs lol" but getting a load of abuse for saying gear instead of items... that's pretty anal.

I bet the guy replies to WTS with like "Hello, my good sir! I believe i am interested into the mercantile exchange of equipment for a sum of platinum pieces. If your curiosity is piqued, feel free to reply to this message so we can commence the negotiation, with hopefully a positive result in which at the end, we will both profit from mutual satisfaction!"

im from red and often log into blue EC just to say "u got fre?" and "fre plz".

a good solid hour of fun to annoy the bluebies.

I think I'd have to keep my war. Mainly because he's my highest, but everything else can go, because I don't play them at all..

The "toon means character" neural pathway is certainly one I would like dead, please. Sorry I ever learned that.

I'd stick with my necro. It's nice being so versatile.

I would have to keep my Druid. It has been a plat making machine and has helped a lot of people on here for free ports and free gear. And has just helped a lot of people with ports that pay. Lot more convenient than the boats or running 6 zones lol. :D

Plus they are great at going to zones to level and not having to depend on others to get you there. And I like helping people out and a Porter really does when you think about it. Even giving noobs plat when you port them for free to buy spells, gear, etc.. Rewarding class in a lot of ways.

If I had to stick to one character, I would probably stop playing. If I was allowed to pick three, I would go necromancer, enchanter and druid.

I'd keep my AON 60 Ogre Shaman hands down. Even though I play my 60 Druid the most.

ogre shaman or barb shaman, 2 tough to decide.

Probably ogre :( I have seen the light... its not because they are more powerful.. its because I can say I am more powerful and make barbs resent me for it.

60 mage over my 60 rogue by far. Even though Inny has never shown up carrying the all important staff, even an epicless mage is tons of fun. Especially when you sit under the raid mob and summon random players to freak them out. So many CH cycles ruined in the interest of trolling magicians.

I would have to hang onto my druid, he's the only one I still play from time to time and thats just to do drive-by buffs on lowbies, port people and not accept donations, just be all around helpful really. Even though he has been lvl 51 for about four years and will undoubtedly still be 51 in the next four. He's my favorite, chirp out.

The character that goes by this name. My enchanter. I really like playing one, and keeping a cc'd so that the other classes can do their job is, for me, hella fun.

What's very true is, however, I only kick ass at my job if the other classes are also kicking ass: if the pullers are bringing the house, but not too much, the cleric is on top of their game, the tank knows how to keep all the dps on target, and so forth.

People often complain about the "holy trinity" of chanter/cleric/tank formula, but the fact is, the game (up until Velious.... grrr) worked that way, and there is nothing like a classic exp grp setup, and myself, I love being the enchanter :)

edit: Some may know, I "froze" Sadre in carbonite at lvl 58 until Velious, cuz during original, I hit 60 early in Kunark (second enchanter to 60 on Quellious ~fingertwirl~) so I never exp'd during velious, just raided. I wanted to save some exp grinding for Velious. I personally suspected Velious was going to arrive sometime during the Jenna Bush administration. Looks like I'm going to have to dust Sadre off earlier than I thought. Back to work, slacker!

If I had all the time I wanted to play, I'd go with a pally. I enjoy tanking more than anything in groups. The control a skilled paladin brings to a group can make for very exciting gameplay.

I just wish I was a LOT better playing my Enchanter or that would be my top choice. I am just to old to do all the things needed at once anymore, Charmed pet and all, that takes a lot of thought and hand skill. :( Too many Beers in my life I guess. And too many Senior Moments lol.

Druid.

Never have to waste someone else's time looking for a port, nor do I need to Blame anyone else for my lack of heals. Able to do most quests that are needed. Druids are a good utility class in a small group/raid, which is generally the most fun you can have in EQ IMO. A 6 man group is boring. A 3-4 man with a druid is fantastic.

That is a pretty good strategy. I goofed around for a year and a half with 12 alts and finally got off my butt and leveled a Druid to 55. Made a lot of my experiences here better I can tell you. :p

Bard, mastering all the songs and having perfect instinctual timing on them is very fun. All the other classes are pretty basic in comparison.

I'd keep my bard. I play this game to group, and once people get to know you and what you can do as a bard you generally don't have issues getting in groups :D.

I'm a terrible altaholic. Once deleted a 20 rogue because I decided she should follow Tunare instead of Bristlebane. But if I had to choose right now, I'd say my high elf cleric on red. Healing is what I like to do most of all!

I have about 15 or so chars...
I should really delete them down to 3.. It is in fact distracting..
However that's the fun of the game, playing all the classes seeing what they can do. Just sucks my highest is 46-53. A lot of 30's.

Favorites. Mage, ench, shaman..pally bard? Hehe

Arguably its the best way to enjoy the server, play one til bored, then pick another one up for a while.

I deleted a 42 Human Male Monk to make it a Female lol. That was early in Live when it took you 6 months to get to 42, that is how crazy I was about alts.:eek:

When I started playing MMO's in UO and EQ , I only ever played on one toon. In EQ it was DE necro, I didn't even re-roll Iksar when Kunark came out because I loved the character and the time I put into it and didn't care if it had no regen.

When I played a little bit of WOW, LOTRO, and SWTOR I became an altoholic and maxed out crazy toons. I found this server and am re-living the past with a DE necro but also made my first ever EQ alt a enchanter. I love switching between them when I get bored or frustrated now.

I would probably pick the enchanter now though as I hated being skipped over for groups on my necro.

I'm the same way. I'll delete characters just for small changes. Somehow I managed to get my bard to 51 even though i'm constantly thinking about playing other classes. Maybe I should embrace my altolism and play whatever I feel like until I finally hit 60 from one I just happened to play the most.

Also. Noobs get items for their toons. I gear my chars.
