I quit smoking and now I have put on like 20 lbs of fat. I am not the man you all once knew who could seduce a woman with a glance and make her butter melt like a lipid based niagra falls.

I do not know what to do. Please help.

I quit smoking weed for 3 months a couple years back. I gained 30 pounds, and all of my health went straight to hell. (All my doctors told me to stop doing whatever it was I was doing. I told them the only change was I stopped smoking weed. A couple said to start back up again.)

Sometimes, the unhealthy shit keeps us healthy.

Dude stop overeating.

U don't need keto, or anything else. Nicotine reduces your appetite and slightly speeds your metabolism. There's a STRONG chance you are snacking more because you feel more hungry, and may or may not realize it. I'd cut back maybe 150 calories from what u ate while smoking, to account for possible metabolism changes. Otherwise, u are eating more now. Stop.

Get a lot of bird's eye chilli peppers. Whenever you usually smoke and your rituals are most ingrained, after meals, when you wake up ect, eat a few peppers. When you feel that compulsion to obtain and consume something and it is not time for a regular meal, eat a few peppers. When the corner of your mind flashes upon the bleakness of your remaining days consisting of you killing time trying to distract yourself from mourning the indulgences that obscure the taint of existing in an an inanimate universe that has neither god nor justice beyond abject oblivion for you and everything you love, eat a pepper. That's how I managed to quit a 40+ year habit this, and I absolutely love smoking, I was never not smoking when awake.

Assuming you aren't one of those people ordering fast food or pizza every day. Just eat normal food (be reasonable), stick to water (add crystal light if water is too boring), lose 20 lbs without really trying. It works.

If you drink a glass of water every time you feel a bit of hunger when it is not meal time, and eat a few slices of cucumber, pickle, or celery and do something else for 10 mins you will not be hungry this is how I lost 15 lbs after giving up the vice.

I went thru the same thing man. Nicotine really kills your appetite.

I suggest eating LOTS of salad (with light oil/balsamic vinegar dressings), LOTS of fruits and veggies, LOTS of nuts....

And drinking even more water. Keep yourself full on these things instead of trying to battle the newfound food cravings.

Not saying this isn't good advice, or that it isn't a viable strategy, because it is. But for many it's just as hard or harder than making other dietary changes or increasing exercise level. For me it is. Meals without Coca-Cola are just so empty.

Having said that, it's a great approach if you can swing it. I would suggest switching to water rather than a diet drink. In the end, it all comes down to willpower.

It worked for me, though I've never consumed 2500 calories of coke a day -- ever in my life. Lol, that's an insane amount of sugar. I was drinking maybe two or three 20-ounce bottles of coke a day while chained to a desk for ten hours at work. I switched to mostly water (love that office water cooler) and only when I couldn't stand the lack of sweetness anymore I would mix in a bit of the crystal light. I didn't bother with diet sodas at all because (1) they taste like utter shit and (2) I knew that water was key in losing any amount of weight, even if I did add drink mix sometimes.

Cutting out the coke cold turkey was truly awful the first week but it got easier, but after two or three weeks I was surprised because I really didn't miss it that much anymore. To this day, I've managed to stick to it and it's been several years. Not sure what happened but coke doesn't even taste good anymore. Now my preferred beverage when I want something more than water is iced tea with a bit of honey in it.

I go through periods where I decide I'm going to cut out the soda to drop the extra 10-20 pounds of unwanted weight. The only 2 reasonable substitutes for me are Coke Zero and Crystal Light. Coke Zero is miles better than Diet Coke imo. Diet Dr. Pepper is ok, but has a blechy aftertaste. I always go back to regular Coke at some point.

I feel calorie counting is pretty foolproof. If you're serious about losing weight, it's the most logical route to take. It lets you decide if that 1-2 cokes a day is worth the tradeoff of extra food on your plate. Or the extra mile you have to run.

I think I drink way too much coffee too which upsets my stomach and metabolism, making me desire coke. It's a very easy slippery slope from me to get to donuts, coffee and 40oz dr peppers from veggies.

I'm working on a similar app that shows you a hot naked chick every time you enter a healthy meal...and a fatty every time you eat shit. Main roadblock at this point is keeping people honest instead of lying about meals and just fapping all day.

First off don't believe that quitting smoking will get you fat and have some confidence in yourself. Take personal responsibility and get your shit together (sometimes a good slap to the face helps). Second, control what goes in that pie hole, Eat more fruits and veggies instead of processed foods. Lastly, Exercise...and when I say this I don't mean intense Arnold arm workouts. What I mean is simple 3 days a week taking 20-30 minute jogs outside. Maybe lifting some weights replacing some of those days, nothing too complex. Don't be afraid to work out, just fucking slap yourself in the face and stop being a pussy, and do it because its good for you and you know it.

- I use to smoke 5 years and i quit 4 years ago. I never got fat.

one of my good buddies i met through EQ was like 300lb over weight looser kid, we were friends but i flamed his ass on a daily basis. he is now basically a body builder, about 200lbs and jacked. i like to think i helped him. we are still homies to this day

Not bad for a fatty...especially on grass...ive done it on mats before..but they give you some spring back.
