All my items, money are gone for the 2nd time

Hi

I was first playing around witha bard, got him to lvl 2 and was looting some armor and so on, and when I was going to play him again the other day all my items and money were gone on that character.

Well, I deleted him and created a necromancer instead yesterday and have been playing him since then, today I went afk for dinner and when I came back, like 2 hours later everything is gone on him, money, armor, bags in inventory, everything!! Is this something that happens every day in p1999 or is it just me? And why?

Did you die both times? That's the only reason I can think of why your stuff vanished. When you die you drop everything.

When i first time started to play at 2000 i lost my first char dark elf necro when i went to Freeport... started new char then, so we all were at that position sometimes.Almost sure half of ppl had that issue from begin.

The only other thing that could make your stuff go poof is a NO RENT bag. ALthough this would not affect your money, and your stuff would only go bye-bye if it was in the bag and you logged off for over a half an hour.

you need to remember where you die (/loc command is good for that), and then go back and retrieve your corpse to re-obtain all your items from your corpse.

I remember exploring West Commonlands when I was a wee human warrior. I agrod a puma and jumped into the lake thinking that it wouldn't follow me...that was a difficult corpse recovery.

I took my bard all the way to Loio since I heard it was a great place for bards to "kite" mobs. I pulled one of the tigresses and ran in cirlces forever to kill it.

"So long time to kill one mob and so little xp?" Hell no, camped out and created a shadowknight instead :p
