OoOo a thread directed towards me!

Philly boys don't join zergs? What's the alternative? Join <Azrael>? I've been there. If anyone thinks <Empire> has an inner circle join <Azrael> for a day. If you aren't in that circle of snout suckers then you're nobody. I literally never got an experience group in <Azrael> because everyone was 60, decently geared and only logged on in brief increments to PvP or on Sunday to contest <Nihilum>. It came to a head for me while I was sitting in the middle of TD at level 58 quad kiting raptors and they announced everyone sub-60 would be in a feeder guild called <Ensidia> and you wouldn't get access to <Azrael> until you hit 60 with full resist gear. At that point I said "I'm not wearing a guild tag that sounds like a erectile dysfunction medication, fuck all this." F1, /guildremove and logged off until the end of the summer.

The server and guild scene was fucking awful during that time. <Nihilum> had many of the same pitfalls <Azrael> did and <Red Dawn> just didn't have the PvP presence it needed. When I did come back I joined <Holocaust> because I had friends in it. I didn't go hard in the paint until about November of last year and it's been fucking great ever since. I'm not a fan of zergs but what <Empire> is doing is working. Experience groups, pals helping pals with their epics and a nice openness about the inner workings of the guild. Loot system is definitely better than any guild I've ever been in. Make a presence regularly or at least try and get pixels. No snout sucking or DKP people are cashing in from just years of logging on for raid day required. People are actually logged on XPing and PvPing, shit is awesome.

<Azrael> could definitely be a force of power if you guys weren't so high strung about guild numbers. I'm not sure where the false sense of nobility comes from about limiting the number of players you have in your guild but you're going to have to eat a big slice of humble pie if you want to compete in Velious. The percentage of your members who have PvP chops over <Empire> is definitely larger. Recruit, compete and you could make this server awesome. Fail to adapt and watch <Empire> take a huge gear advantage basically becoming god-kings and destroying any amount of competition that rears it's head.

See you in Thurgaydin, pal.

Lived in Overbrook for most of my life, wife wanted to live outside of the city, can't help that.

Also tons of slander in that essay, we are not the guild we were 6 months ago, you could of easily asked me for help and I would of helped you, this is an excuse to get easy pixels. If you think I'd turn down another philly boy you crazy.

stopped reading here.

I can't comment on the accuracy of this before my time in Azrael.

However, For the last 5 months those statements couldn't be further from the truth.

For the sake of your guild I hope you guys are changing your ways. I'm not trying to slander <Azrael> that was just my anecdote.

Unfortunately pixels are a necessary indulgence to gain advantage over the opposition so why not take the path of least resistance?

do you want pvp? If so, you need an enemy to fight. If everyone followed your logic there would be 0 pvp and we would all be playing under 1 tag.

That's fine, this post was way more honest. I have a lot of pride being from Philly, most people could care less where they come from.

I'm not sure how depicting my proximity to Philadelphia compared to Sektor's constitutes bragging but whatevs man. I'm sure wherever you live you think is far nicer.

Fair point and of course I want PvP. You don't know how many of us wish you guys would zone in and contest. I honestly hope you guys make a permanent alliance with another guild and start contesting for raid targets. Pixels with resistance is a far better experience then just quickly downing mobs. If you made some real changes then you could challenge <Empire>'s current reign.
