Some really good books here.

I haven't checked out some of the heavier reading that was posted.

Swish, Dune is worth the time investment. However, as much as I love the books its hard to recommend them past the second one. I never had an amiga, was the game any good?

It's a great fantasy/scifi read based around advanced VR and some magic bullshit. If you're into that kinda thing.

Seems like a lot of you guys are stuck on series.

I really loved the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, especially the first three before SK cleaned up his act.

also, read "The Phoenix Guards"/"500 Years After"/"The Paths of the Dead"/"The Lord of Castle Black"/"Sethra Lavode"
(this is the events leading up to Adron's Disaster, the disaster itself, the interregnum, and Zerika emerging from the paths of the dead with the orb. Mario Greymyst, a young stupid Morrolan, a young bratty Aliera, and omg Pel)

Love the books as i said 8) always found it humorous that the characters and basic story line came out of his role playing sessions. I would guess a lot of our favorite fantasy sci fi books came out of people role playing and or board games.

Traveller RPG and DnD RPG probably had a big influenced on a lot authors from the 1970 till today.

I have read all of them except the most recent one. I absolutely love Stephen Brust.

I agree completely. It's not the first time that Stephen King has coped out on his endings. Remember 'It'? WTF giant space turtle?

I love the book 'The Talisman' by Stephen King and Peter Straub coincidentally. The follow up 'Black House' isn't too shabby either.
