Do anyone has an information about the homepage and the servername of this new progression server from Daybreak which will start in some weeks?
Thanks in advance!

I still haven't decided what I'm rolling yet. I'm thinking Necro or Enchanter this time around. I seem to always do a pure caster on the official progression servers so maybe I should break that mold instead.

im thinking chanter as well. too many dumbasses will be playing so a good chanter will go a long way.
I'm rolling troll SK. Havn't hated leveling enough. Need moar pain.

Just wondering why people on p99 are excited about this when things like this are going to be in from day 1:
The Raid window
Maps
Augmentations
AAs (though most abilities still are restricted by level or expansion)
Saving recipes in tradeskill containers
Audio Triggers
Many Achievements (but not kill or collect achievements)
Hotbar revamps (but not item clicking in bags)
Guild rank customizations
All of these things seem to go against what people here actually play here for? This is just like the other progression servers that opened. nothing special or classic about them in most instances.

lol could you have come up with a more retarded list of reasons not to play somewhere?
half that shit already exists if you are in the know. achievements are for *badword* and if you care about them you are a *badword* too. new servers are fun. classic is fun, even if some zones are revamped (some actually look better.)

You sir are a classhole (though I don't mean that as an insult, just a statement of preference), and only classholes care about classic UIs.
Non-classholes don't play here for the UI, we play here because we want to play the EverQuest we fondly remember, not the one filled with station cash and mercenaries. And for a lot of us those memories include Luclin and PoP.
Because this is server is run by classholes (again, not an insult), we will never get the opportunity to re-experience that content without a progression server. Having to use new Freeport (ugh) may suck, but so does never being able to go to the moon or the planes.

Is there a pvp server?
Zereh
05-06-2015, 11:22 AM
Hi, Sapphiay =) No, I don't think there will be a PvP server, at least from what I've read so far.
there will be enough bottlenecks for trolls to exploit to piss people off, so it is no surprise so many PVP players are all over this.

Will probably sub to see how it is. I haven't been on live so long but I'm sure they replaced or changed most of the old drops, does anyone know if they will actually have proper gear dropping in the proper eras?

Was interested until I read:
Q: Will the Marketplace be available on Ragefire?
Yes, it will. Initially it will only have cosmetic items, XP potions and bags available. When we open Beta for this, we will need your help in making sure that we caught everything.
So I would pay $15 a month for this AND they are going to have a market for people to Pay to win? Pass.

i read somewhere else official (too lazy to find a link) that they won't have stationcash (daybreak bucks? i forget what they're called now) bags during classic/kunark, when a lot of the best raid loot from dragons is big WR raids.
what DOES suck, though, is that monk fists and mage/necro pets are going to be tuned for The Serpent's Spine and later content. in classic. what's the ratio on monk fists at level 50? something absurd like 13/22 or something, i forget exactly. someone please correct me.

Will we be able to play beastlords in classic/kunark? Also: shorty hyrbids?
May play just to be a gnome SK or halfling paladin.
pharmakos

no beastlords til luclin, no zerkers til gates
shorty hybrids should be in
i just double checked on the monk fist thing, if this link http://www.monkly-business.net/forums/showpost.php?p=207148&postcount=32 is accurate, then a bare naked level 50 monk will be walking around with a pair of 20/26 weapons in classic. lol.

Dead Halfling Society 3.0 is recruiting - Ragefire Progression Server
Who We Are
Dead Halfling Society (http://deadhalflingsociety.com) is a guild that has existed in both iterations of Everquest's progression servers and is getting ready to participate in the new TLP progression server this summer. We are a seasoned group of players with a wealth of experience both on normal live servers as well as the progression servers, and due to our familiarity with progression servers we are keenly aware of the special challenges, and benefits of playing on those servers.
We play at our own pace and don't rush anything. While we are all competitive players, and enjoy challenging ourselves, we don't feel that the stress of hardcore raiding is worth the benefit. Our goal is to enjoy the progression server in our own time, and in our own way. As such, we plan to accomplish all that the progression servers have to offer in terms of raids and quests, but we will do so on our own schedule, usually an expansion behind those who feel the need to raid in a hardcore environment.
We are a family guild that raids. We want to accomplish a lot in this game, but not at the expense of our personal lives. We take raiding very seriously, and if you are online when a raid is called, attendance is required, but we don't require people to have a minimum attendance record to maintain membership. We are very casual-friendly and many casual players have called DHS home over the years.
We don't weigh our accomplishments against those of others. We play the game to have fun, not to brag about loot or how fast we beat an encounter. Our time in-game is our own, and we prefer to spend it with our friends, instead of chasing endless goals to impress others. As a result, we set goals for ourselves, take the necessary efforts to complete those goals, and only judge ourselves based upon our own expectations of our performance.
If what you've read about us sounds appealing, and you'd like to experience all that the progression servers have to offer, but at a more relaxed pace than that of a hardcore raiding guild, we might be the guild for you. Our recruitment is open, and we look forward to seeing you in-game.

beta currently open to all - free2play
kind of a mess though. i didnt realize they continued to renovate more and more zones and features while i was away.. granted its been like 8 years since i subbed
tried to go charm kill oggok guards.. hardcode uncharmable.. went to charm kill specters, had mobs teleporting on top of me, seen them leash off of me at large distance, got resting buff for being out of combat, remote-looting is new feature, etc
it def doesnt remind me of home like i hoped but ill keep truckin away at beta. first day, cant expect too much but from looks of it, all them features are there to stay
btw /betabuff for insta levels
