Sign me up as well! Mixed feelings about the server so far, but I'm definitely going to give it a try.

I understand that new progression server will have a cashshop with XP potions. Also 6-boxing...

... so yeah, not trying to be a downer or anything, but if they have that shit then its not even close to classic. Might still be fun for some people though.

Both of those things fall in to the "grass is greener" category. Yes, people with more money/attention span than you will be able to level faster/play more characters at once ... but so what? How would either of those things affect your ability to 1-box with no XP potions and have fun?

I'll grant that if 6-boxing is so rampant that pick-up groups stop existing, or every guild requires their players to 6-box, that would be pretty lame, but I doubt that will be the case.

I've abandoned all hope of it resembling classic. I'm mostly looking forward to Luclin & PoP, which I enjoyed despite (or in some cases due to) their departures from classic. It will never replace p99, but since I started playing in the Luclin era there's a part of my nostalgia itch that p99 will never quite scratch.

did you know it's possible to have fun playing a video game that is...gasp...not classic?

Can someone report back and let me know if there is ice cream and/or noodles on this server?

Especially let me know if there are ice cream noodles.

I agree... I remember I raided with this guild and we had 2 people box... one guys super army box was like 8 capped 5 were epic'd wizards and he had his things all on something, where he could hit a button and it did it on all the toons.... lots of wizard DPS in the raid was nice. but I grouped with him and he kept one slot open for another player. The other guy was a box of capped clerics... all with only jewelry or weird hand-me-down gear from when the other box or his main would get upgrades.

On Fippy, I actually never really had the problem with boxers, it was actually sometimes nice seeing someone in a dungeon and finding out he also had a shammy to buff us or something like that. My only problem with Fippy and boxxing was that there would be people 10 to 12 boxxing mages and they would bum-rush progression targets.

Overall I feel like boxing is classic, Mainly because it was something you could do back in the day.

hmm... any idea if it is RMT if I trade my P99 gear for an item on ragefire or something?
and if that item is a Krono?

How many days before someone is selling sow pots for lots of plat? It'll be amazingly quick watching the server develop.

I was that guy on Tholuxe when it opened, everyone came to me ;)

Well, *if* we could get a commitment from the p99 players to all get subs (they are cheap after all) we could form a guild called <Suffer> and keep voting to lock the server at Kunark for 4 years. I bet we could have the numbers.

Do you need an active sub to be able to vote? If not, I'm happy to keep voting for that :D

You do the voting at the Priest of Discord so you have to be in-game to cast your vote. This means you need to have an active All Access subscription to vote.

And be within 20 levels of expansion max-level I believe, so as to not allow people to create armies of low levels to push a vote one way or the other.

the voting system was always kind of lame imo...for many reasons not least of which that the actually voting mechanic was bugged and hardly ever worked right.

it always felt like a way of tricking the players into feeling listened to without actually giving them any real decision making power. all the real decisions regarding the server were made for the players by the debs.

If i do go over there i will making a similar feel of p99 no not going to require people to box a army you know box a buffer, x-transfer stuff, if no groups available then you maybe box a few accounts 3 max i am think the guild will be Called
"The Elite Crusaders" so anybody interested just fire me a PM when you choose your name when the server actually launches. I hope Ragefire does not flop, like all the rest of the progression servers.
