I faded away from EverQuest around 2005 since I was not a raider, but a casual player, and thus fell behind everyone. Eve Online peaked my interests since it still has to this day an offline "training" ability, along with the ability to buy and sell items without having to be online at the right moments. Add I had it with Sony's money grabbing aspects and at one point in my life, I thought I pushed this damned game behind me.

About two weeks ago, an old memory of skeletons laughing peaked my interest so I did a YouTube search to hunt one down. After playing the video a few times, I read through some of the comments and Project 1999 was highly praised. If I decided to return, then I did not want to rehash my last days being just another casual player out in the cold. I read through this forum to get a feel for the community. I've been ~hardened~ by Eve the past nine plus years and such continued antics like being regulated to a second rate citizen since I am not twinked would now annoy me...

Looking through old screen shots of EverQuest, especially those of my adventures through the Lost Dungeons of Norrath, I decided to take the plunge. Being a bit burnt out on player versus player action, I went the easier route of player versus environment just to absorb the game So after a marathon of gaming, all seven of my old characters are born again and slowly advancing. I have not decided if I have one main and six alts or seven mains.

I realized I am too old for such marathons! And how much I suddenly remember in terms of locations and tactics, especially within the _old_ North Freeport - not that patchwork Sony released later.

Thanks for having me around.
