Zone freezing issue

Just wondering if someone has noticed this of late.

For the first time ever, last night, every time I zoned it would load the zone and either freeze that screen or go black and NEVER show my character. I would have to go in to my Task Manager, kill the eqgame.exe. Reload and wait for the char to get out of LD to get back on.

Every zone, not particular ones.

It was VERY annoying.

Anyone notice this of recent? Also, other than loading the game with 'patchme' what other things can you do to have a verification check on files?

Did you ever wait it out Dafier? I know i get that black screen if i try to alt-tab before it lets me alt-tab properly :p

Yep....5 minutes plus...

I check my resource monitor to see if there is any traffic occurring as well. As long as something is happening, I will not just kill a process.

Are you full-screen or windowed?

If full-screen might be worth trying windowed, far less screen issues generally if you play windowed mode.

I get this all the time as well, seems to just happen sporadically and I play in windowed mode.

Window mode.

Toggle Fullscreen/Window Mode. As sir Swish mentions, this happens for me as I like to check wiki/forums while zoning. Alt+Enter twice works, unless you are actually 'freezing', which I have not experienced.
