it comes as no surprise that Good Guys is actually full of elitist cliques who refuse to help newer players and their exp groups

last night i witnessed several dozen members of Good Guys wipe out or be forced to camp in Sebilis, while the God's Work crew sat in Karnor's Castle circlejerking on a 7 hour alt buff session, refusing to come to their aid

i also witnessed the Friends crew and God's Work crew make a dash for Veeshan's Peak when the server came back up in an attempt to snipe Phara Dar, which wasn't up, instead of meeting the rest of the guild to try for raid targets that the rest of the guild could participate in

looks like this shit's dead in the water, bros, and all the rumors about their fucked up DKP system may actually be true

When the masses demanded elimination of raid leader dkp it was gone 36 hours later and all bonuses retroactively removed. When people saw the potential for abuse stemming from me running the dkp system, master looting and taking blind dkp bids we added people from several guilds to help manage the system and switched to open bidding system.

When it became clear massing in seb was making our lowbies a prime target for disruption the higher tier players started helping. I logged in last night to find the Hw crew at se bent organizing recovery.

Holo grew organically from a core of experienced players thus they were able to iron out the kinks over time. For GG this timeline is hyper-condensed so patience, compromise and the willingness to listen and adapt are key. Not players will have these qualities or desire to express them.

It's a matter of force vs force and our force lacks cohesion, levels and gear. All of these come in time.

As the General in Fresh we had ways of dealing with this sort of disruption and you will see an asymmetrical response to your seb incursions.

Literally every larger guild has an "elitist crew" per se... It's just the way the cookie crumbles... So many people join guilds with their crew of friends to enjoy the "bigger picture", and what happens is these friends, when in lull times, will alienate themselves from other so called people..
Elaborating more on this subject..
Group of Friends A: - Joins guild to progress their toons, shows up to raids and mass pvps... But during lull times enjoys hanging out with themselves to get shit done... Along comes guild_00 who wants to join.. Now said group of friends has been gaming together for quite a few years and knows each other will do their part.. So and so guildie_00 wants to join their exp group/farm group whatever and gets denied because Group of Friends A - wants to enjoy the company of each either in said lull time.

This is what happens to nearly every guild in every game when approaching numbers post 50.... It's just something you have to accept.. Now a officer can speak with said group of friends and ask them politely to allow underleveled undergeared guildies to join them, but what ends up happening is said friends usually sneak off to places where they cant be bothered, or gotten to as easy..


Morale of the story is - Embrace the fact you have a guild that gets progression done, and either A:) prove yourself to be someone decent to hang out with and competent as said class u are playing and not a douche in general, and a lot of times said "group of friends" will be like sure, so and so is cool as fuck u can come hang man.

When it's time to do something everyone in <Good Guys> goes into team mode. For the disparity in guild cultures there really is very little animosity in the guild and everyone is working better together than ever.

Some small things still need to be worked out. When people "clique up" it's when they aren't doing things that the guild needs. You don't take people who have been friends for years and expect them to cozy up to everybody all the time. When shit needs to get done they turn that mode off so who cares?

<Good Guys> was a server effort where people could put aside their differences and break free from <Empire>'s monopoly on the box; and it worked!

If <Empire> willingly gave <Fresh> raid targets without constantly stomping them that <Good Guys> are currently taking; then there would have been no pressure to merge.

The people who wanted to use <Fresh> as a platform for their own agenda have weeded themselves out of leadership positions. I have total faith in both Gardur and Vapo in keeping things real.
