P99 History: toddfx

We have some new folks joining us recently, so I figured it would be a good time for some p99 history on the front page.

This is a thread to praise the great toddfx and some really cool eq-related things he made a few years back.

He had a passion for brewing and amassed quite an impressive collection a while back (http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50753). His dedication to the craft was a big inspiration to me years ago.

BTW, does anyone know if this guy is still around, plays the game, visits the forum, breathes oxygen? I'd love to get in touch with him and see if he would ever be interested in coming back, or at least talk about his times brewing on p99... maybe he would even offer up some tips for someone looking to move into that market?

As much as I like classic, I would love to see EQ with the same mechanics but with unreal engine graphics and animations.

Exactly. Some of the core mechanics are still good. That's why EQ is so addicting. I'd love an EQ2 with updated art, but still as close to the EQ art (like these renders, not EQ2 because its too drastic of a change). And some minimal changes like new spells and content.
