I just posted asking for general (mainly quest-related) resources, but let me contribute a link of my own. I cannot friggin' believe I still found this site after almost a decade. The ads are a bit annoying (they're new) and the formating isn't as good as it once looked, but this is THE BEST general guide to the enchanter class I ever read. I learned most of what I know from it, and in the day I was considered pretty good.

Best part is, this guide only goes to level 60. It's premised entirely on the original game. Hasn't been updated since about 2002 I believe. So for anyone looking for information on how to play a '99 style enchanter, I consider this essential reading. Enjoy.

Thank you so much, even though it was an old guide but it fit right in the classic :)

Very informative! I had fun reading it.

Call me paranoid, but the old sites all seem like they are on life support and on the brink of fading away. If anyone has a way to archive useful data like this, it may not be a bad idea! If it hasnt been updated since '02, surely the author wouldnt get too bent out of shape about it

I'll add it to the wiki under the growing guides section:

Very nice guide, as a newbie chanter, I will be using this as a source to reference.

I'd love to pass my compliments on to whomever wrote this. The guy truly is an enchanter, I was spellbound by the narrative.
I read the whole site, and I'm not even considering playing an enchanter.

Excellent find, my man.

What you said Quellren, The narrative was probably the best thing about it imo, I liked the quote "forever, paladin, forever.." haha...nerdy but rather awesome.

This is an amazing post for someone like myself who only played shortly back in the day and really remembers nothing about EQ. Thank you so much.

I clicked on this just to take a quick peak, and read it for about 30 minutes. Very well written, and very interesting. Nice addition to the library.

I suspect there will be an unusual influx of level 1 enchanters created tonight...

Jesus Christ, think you guys could make it any harder to read? White on black background, then light gray on a white background?

I could be wrong, its been awhile since I've looked, but I'm pretty sure pillage enchantment costs more mana than invisibility...so i always used invis to break until i got my goblin ring.
