Final Fantasy Tactics: WoTL released for Android devices last week. Really good port of the PSP version with lots of fixes (such as the "slowdown" bug that plagued the PSP).
Touch controls work great and the graphics have been updated to HD quality; which is a problem you face when playing the game emulated.
9/10

Yet another game on my iPad that remains unfinished (16 hours in). Agreed - great game, with mature narrative, excellent production values (cut-scenes and music), and superb gameplay.
A multitude of different ways to play, in a very challenging and at times, unforgiving world. The hand-holding ends very, very quickly!
Note: did take SE [Square Enix] 18 months to release a fix that solved all of the original issues with the iOS version.

Watched Hathaway playing the first FF Tactics on his stream the other night and pulled out my PSP and restarted WoTL... god damn it's hard, but I love it - definitely noticing the slowdown on hit impacts sometimes but shit's classic :D

Oh you poor poor man, if you're feeling particularly masochistic sometime you should check out the insane difficulty patch

You can get the easy version of it though instead if you dig on the website, you're looking for FFT Content 1.3 Easy. It's not easy exactly, what they mean by easy is that it contains all the balance changes while keeping out the purposeful difficulty increase.
The balance changes they made with the 1.3 patch is hands down the best thing that ever happened to that game. They did an amazing job with it really. I've beat this game probably 30 or so times, 10 of which with this patch and I can't play it without the patch anymore. It gets rid of crazy overpowered abilities/spells and rebalances them to make sense as well as rebalancing the shitty abilities and spells that never got used due to their uselessness.

One of if not my all time favorite game. Next to twisted metal 2 and FF7. I haven't bought this version yet.. due to my HTC One having a crappy battery. But I'm excited that it's on android now.

Dunno what the problem was with the iOS version, but they took an additional 4 years to finally release the Android version in America.
I'm guessing Apple had a hand in that little negotiation.

i've never played the WotL version of FFT. i still own the original, though. is the phone port worth the $15? or should i wait and hope that maybe someday the WotL version will come out on a big screen?

Emulate that shit on your phone. WOTL is nice for the cutscenes and whatnot but they fucked with the sounds and to me it messed up the experience and nostalgia of the game.
I would emulate it on your phone with a psp emulator and patch the wotl rom with the difficulty patch to make shit fun, difficult, and nostalgic.
Alternatively if you don't want to add the difficulty patch you can patch the psp wotl rom to fix the fps issue (which fixes the sound)
