I read that and decided to try Misty Storyswapper. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something. I'm no expert on necro play, but she cons red to me at 12 and my pet can't even get aggro. Did she get buffed or am I just an idiot?

I never killed her, but if she still good xp at 16, and you are 12, it's normal that she is red con to you.

I would assume you are supposed to kit her at your level.

Yeah I know, but I couldn't land a spell on her and my pet couldn't even touch her. I dunno, maybe I just got unlucky, but somehow I doubt I'm gonna be able to kill her. If someone knows how to play a necro really well and could give me some advice I'd appreciate it.

I killed her from 12-17 with little problem on my necromancer. This was my first character and I had no gear but for cloth armor and a cracked staff. She will sometimes resist your darkness but not more than once, but this is part of kiting in general. If she resists just start running in the opposite direction, and as soon as your cooldown is up cast darkness again. She is a huge overcon and well worth it to try and figure out the camp, as you will gain experience quickly. You will also make a very good amount of coin for the level.

I also started at 12 and without sow you will die a few times. Start with darkness, if it sticks you can either fear or agro kite. If it doesn't you'll usually be able to get one more off, even though you might be getting hit. If it sticks, you're still home free, just start running. Two resists in a row, though, without sow, and you're toast. Definitely worth the exp though, and by 14 resists are rare.

I was wondering about this girl, I started killing her a little bit ago, killed her for about 45 minutes with absolutely no problems. Then she pops and I absolutely CAN NOT kill her this spawn. It's as if she becomes really hard on the 20th spawn or something. lol She's literally killed me like 4 times in a row and i've had to root and zone her another 2 times on top of that. Does she get harder the more you kill her or something?

maybe the random # gen. fluxes her level +/- 1 or 2 every spawn?

As others have said, you just got unlucky. You will definitely die a bit doing Misty if you start at 12, but the EXP is good nevertheless. Did her until 17, then moved to Cordelia from 17-24. Again, some resists on Cordelia if you start at 17, but the EXP is worth the random deaths.

She is very doable at 12, no matter her con (she'll be yellow or red, and the only difference is a few more resists when red). I even took her at 11, but died quite a few times trying.

Summon a strong pet (you should be able to get a white-con pet at 12), and send him in first. Cast heat blood after he has aggro, then chain-cast darkness till it sticks. Run far enough away to get enough distance that you can cast fear before she hits you. If she resists, run again. It'll take some time before it gets "easy", and you might die a few times until you get the hang of it, but once you do it's a nice camp.

For extra credit, kill Brother Estle and the guard in the next house. They're easy to take one at a time, and they're lower-level than Misty so you shouldn't have much trouble. You can kill the two NPCs in the trees to the east as well, but they'll be tough to split at your level, especially if you're trying to kill Misty every 6 minutes too.

This.

I have no idea what mob this is but this is very possible.

That being said, try fearing them off the bat then landing a snare.

Guess it all depends on the % of time she will resist a fear vs a snare.

If you're having trouble with resists, you can try casting darkness first. You'll get hit a few times if she resists right off the bat, but I seem to remember being able to get her under control without too much drama at level 12.

I'd suggest not fearing first, as she runs pretty quick. Maybe that was just my imagination?
